Looking back at the recruiting class, they have two OH's coming in, as well as a MB/OPP. Maybe one of these players can fill the OH2 role and Nuneviller stays at Libero? I don’t know the inside story. I heard one reason Nuneviller landed in Oregon was a promise of competing for OH position her sophomore year. IMO she is way too valuable at libero to be used as OH. They will try her out at OH and see how she does. She trained at OH in camp this year but she ended up winning the L job and wasn't at the top of the OH depth chart. With LVW gone, we need someone to fill the passing gap, so it could work best for the team. If she's one of the top two OH options in August, she will play front row. (By the way, that's what giving someone a chance to compete means)

LVW gone and Rasmussen gone, she's got a shot. Two incoming OH + Morgan Lewis, though might be interesting! It will just be interesting who will be the better All Around option between Nuneviller and BVS would be (or a surprise freshman) behind Borup.

I am sure she will do what is best for the team, just curious if she prefers Libero.

I don't know enough about the recruits...do any of the incoming freshmen have a chance of starting?

I think one of the OHs could get some time over the course of the season. Oregon is quite thin there and if there’s injury, the next moves leave Oregon thin at DS (although you won’t need a DS if your OHs are BVS or Nuneviller).

I don't think that matters, tbh. Look at the USA roster now. Even with competent, albeit somewhat inexperienced liberos like Wong-Orantes and Amanda Benson, Karch took neither in the later rounds of the VNL nor the WCs. Instead went with Kelsey Robinson. So if Nunevillar can be a hitter, it's not a bad thing and she would still be able to be a 6 rotation player It also shouldn't hurt her chances for the NT.
