It will be interesting to see who gets paired with Justine in the #1 slot.

i would guess that this is the tallest sand team in the nation. Good luck to the Huskers.

Really interested to see how Albrecht is. I've got Townsend as a possible surprise.
Here's my (uninformed/whimsical) prediction
No. 1| Wong-Orantes/Hunter No. 2| Keil/Albrecht No. 3| Kadie/Townsend No. 4| Hall/Amber No. 5| Fien/Etheridge
Alternates: Ostrander, Larson, Boender

Tall or not--realistically--this team is in the hunt.
As the only midwestern team there in Lincoln, I suspect that they'll receive an invitation to the Gulf Shores in May.
A condensed schedule allows for an opportunity percentage-wise. I truly believe that Cook wants the girls ready for December and Christmas at home, anyway.
I personally can hardly wait to see them live on 3/22/15. Go Red! --- It'll be difficult to return to 29*f Nebraska (you'd think) for all those who'd travel in accompaniment.

I'm glad the roster was updated - the original didn't have any frosh listed and I was kind of wondering why?
* The Huskers probably won't be participating in the Championships as they occur at the front of Finals Week (Per UNL Rule) -> The same reason they didn't participate last year. But when 'Beach Volleyball' becomes an "Official" NCAA Championship Sport (2016), I don't believe the rule will apply anymore.
*Hopefully the NCAA will hold the Championship dates later in 2016. Championships can be held 'out of season'.

I feel like Wong and Albrecht will be paired up. That would be fun!

I just can't see those championships (in hopes of NATIONAL recognition(s)) moving forward without them. 'out of season' perhaps as you've said in 2016. why couldn't staff administer finals?? I'll still go with--hopefully--USC/Pepperdine/Hawaii/Florida State in the FF. UOP/FIU/(i think)GA St./(i think)Tulane will be there too. Stetson or ULM maybe but I gather that in this preNCAA phase, just as in UH's case, UCLA maybe also.

The Huskers are going to have to 'earn' their ranking this season. In their inaugural season 2013 they started ranked 9th and finished T-6th. In 2014 they started 7th and finished 10th. And now in 2015 they start out ranked 17th - OUCH! But 2016 is around the corner, so we'll see how everything plays out in Huskerland.

The finals week reasoning doesn't make a lot of sense to me. A quick look at the academic calendar shows that finals week for fall started right after the regional finals and during the final four. If Nebraska advanced, I'm pretty sure we wouldn't have seen them bow out due to an academic conflict.
Hopefully Nebraska will increase their commitment to sand in 2016 (when it's official).

They have never been in contention for a berth to Sand Nationals, and won't this year unless they beat Hawaii or USC. Their condensed schedule actually hurts their chances, they need to play nearly perfectly for a week straight on the road and go 8-1 in dual matches to have a chance. Given that they went 4-5 their first year, 3-2 last year and have yet to beat a team with a winning record, I don't foresee it happening.

Your final sentence gets to the crux of the matter. I believe the University has a policy that allows SA's to complete finals in a way that works around participation in official NCAA championship events. The season-ending event sponsored by the AVCA does not qualify for that special treatment. Provided they qualify, I would expect the Huskers to participate in the actual NCAA championship event in 2016 and beyond.
