In addition to Mr. Magoo, we can nickname Haley "Moonball Mick". I still think he's a dead ringer for Saul Tigh (Battlestar Galactica).

Can't wait to see what they're able to do with better defense and a much stronger setter that can run a 5-1

It looks like USC wanted there frosh setter to come early to work with there hitters as Baylee Johnson of NKYVC is no longer in the roster. Reports in her twitter that she is heading to Los Angeles right after she graduates. You might want to look up the usage difference's between They're, Their & There

Would Mick really abandon his 6-2 next season though? Even though Pizzasegola was very underwhelming this season, she was still very good as a frosh and made Pac12 All-Freshman team. I wasn't as hard on her compared to the other setters because I understood that the coaches making her change her entire setting technique in the fall would take some time. Clearly it needed much more than was given, but still, her location was much improved by December. I don't know, I'm just not sure if Mick would really sit his Italian import on the bench for the next two years.
But yeah, like some others on here, I am optimistic about Johnson. She's big, tall, and physical, so maybe she takes after the role of Emily Young in their hybrid like 5-2? She's not a leftie but she hit a heavy ball in club and would obviously be an upgrade as a blocker. And enrolling early will definitely help her get to know the team as a new freshman setter, so that's good too. Whatever it is, people seem to be excited about her so I'm taking that as a good sign and hope she does well. As for Ford, I agree that I don't think she'll see much time in the front row. The Urango/Russ route is more likely, but at the same time her back row defense/passing isn't that great either..... Does she have a jump serve?
My take on the depth chart for 2015:
OH: - Bricio (Sr.) * - Ruddins (Jr.) * - Gillis (So.) - Ford (Fr.) - Livingston (So.)
MB: - Ogoms (Sr.) * - Dunn (So.) * - Reed (Fr.)
RS: - Nwanebu (Jr.) * - Abercrombie (So.)
S: - Pizzasegola (Jr.) * - Johnson (Fr.)
L: - Whittingham (Jr.) *
DS: - Schmidt (Jr.) * - Wheatley (So.)

I was in an open gym in LA and saw Baylee Johnson/Jordan Dunn and Nwanebu playing against a guys teams, and I was surprised how good Johnson's setting is and how fast she is. Again its only open gym, but her team was also playing against some good former college mens players

I overheard one of the USC coaches in Las Vegas saying that they are very excited about Johnson and even mentioned that she will be one of the best setters in the league. I started smiling considering that USC had two of the worst setters in the Pac-12 last year.

USC with a good or great setter could be scary good.

I hate this trend of going to college early. Why is that? Because a kid should be allowed to finish and enjoy high school, and their last summer, too. And for every "But she wanted to go," I would venture that there are many more who have been pressured to do so, even though the kid probably wouldn't tell you as much. This rush to get the player on campus is not needed. I don't care how much you say it is, it isn't.

This rush to get the player on campus is not needed. I don't care how much you say it is, it isn't. Depends on what you mean by "needed". If your argument is that winning is not as important as athletes enjoying life away from volleyball, that's a fine opinion to have. However in this case, I don't think there's any chance USC would've had the success they've had to this point if Johnson hadn't enrolled early. Having a freshman setter is difficult, just ask Illinois.
