So it's a new year in the BIG and I'm sure their will be plenty of excitement. What will happen this year? Same ole same ole or will another team step up? What kinda surprises will we see this year? Will everyone chase psu? Is it Nebraskas time? Will baby Jesus be able to make magic happen with the loss of some vets.? Illinois, well, will it be jekyl or Hyde. Minnesota, never quiet been able to figure out what has been stopping them from potential they also seem to have. Can't leave out ohio state( this is for you ramp) but they are my sleeper for making most unexpected noise in conference this year. Can Rutgers win first conference game? As far as rest feel free to share thoughts and opinions. Ready to start season

I believe Michigan will struggle at the beginning with a new setter but will figure it out. The have some talented underclassmen + Cole + seasoned Morales

In my opinion, it's Nebraska and psu fighting it out for title. I think Wisconsin Illinois Minnesota and ohio state just may sneak into that second tier. The rest for me, who knows Sorry can't take Wisconsin serious enough yet to put them in first tier. Until carlini can show she can beat psu( which thus far she hasn't done) why put them in top. On other hand Nebraska has been able to beat psu at times, thus why I have them where I do

PSU appears to be the team to beat again, returning Most Outstanding Player, Megan Courtney, and Freshman of the Year, Ali Frantti, along with vets, Whitney and Washington.
Nebraska has a lot of hope for next year. With newcomer Foecke, and a dynamic setter, Hunter, Nebraska's offense will be more balanced.
Illinois returns Birks, and adds elite setter, Poulter. Throw in newcomers Prince on the outside and Bastianelli in the middle, the Illini will be GOOD.
Wisconsin boasts B1G Setter of the Year, Lauren Carlini, and B1G Defensive of the Year, Morey. Expect freshmen Duello and Williams to turn heads.

Pretty fair assessment although, like I said, until carlini proves she can beat psu I don't see them as threat. Nebraska and Illinois on other hand have shown they can give psu problems

Nebraska and Illinois on other hand have shown they can give psu problems If Wisconsin had played PSU twice last season, UW would've had a lot more confidence the second time around, knowing that both Neb and Ill can beat PSU. I do not doubt that Carlini can give PSU problems.

Not saying they can't beat psu this year. They have good shot. All I'm saying is I'll look at them different when that happens is all. Probably wouldn't even be talking about it if people didn't act like carlini was the messiah of all their is.

Wisconsin can beat Nebraska but not psu.

Wisconsin/Penn State/Nebraska are the top 3 teams, in no particular order. All have big question marks but huge potential.
Illinois is #3, I think Poulter will elevate the Illini to be an elite team. Minnesota should also be much improved, and I think Michigan will put together a stronger capaign. I'd also look for Purdue to improve after a dismal 2014 season.
