Sheila will be a loss, especially since Tandara is five months pregnant. There are good players in the opposite pipeline like Barbara and Ivna, so shouldn't be a problem. That's why Tandara looked sooo much bigger! She played a little in yesterday's loss against Camponesa Minas, so good for her for continuing playing while preggos! I also like Helo Pereira, Malu Oliveira, Bruna da Silva as opposites. The future is definitely bright for the Brazilians! Natalia is playing as opposite now for Rio, so maybe she'll do the same at the NT, since Tandara and Sheilla are out. I only pray Adenizia is also rested, forever. We have others playing better than her and everyone knows it.

She was called up last season, but preferred to go on vacation. At the WCH, Zé said Carol and Adenizia were on the same level. I think Carol was even on the bench in the semifinals. She will probably be back this year. There's Angélica and Mara too. Juciely is playing well, but due to her age, she won't be back, I think.

I didn't see any Maranhão games, so I cannot comment, but about Hage, she was on the team in 2013, but went nowhere. Maybe she'll be back now that Fabiana (and maybe Thaisa) will have some time off. I like Hage, but she must improve her attack. I remembered Natasha, who was on the B team in 2012 and 2013. You know, since there will be two different teams this year, maybe Zé will call a bunch of players and see what happens. In Rio, it'll be Fabiana, Thaisa and two others, no surprise there. =)

Saw that Fabíola extended her contact with Krasnodar. Any bets that Fe Garay returns to Brazil next season?
Also heard that Unilever and Sollys are bidding for Hooker, and some Turkish clubs are trying to land Thaisa. IIRC Sheilla has a two-year contract with VakifBank, right?

Will Fernandinha keep playing A2 in Italy?

I've read that Sheilla is staying in Europe, yes. I haven't heard anything about Garay's future. About Thaisa, I think she should go, if that's true. Osasco has been a disappointment this season. Maybe they'll win, just to shut me up, but I can't see that happening. About Hooker, I think Osasco should have signed her again THIS season, but there are rumors that Rio and Osasco want her. I read Rio wants Fabris (I think that's her name). I don't know anything about Fernandinha. By the way, is Hooker back to playing? And will she ever go back to the NT? She destroyed Rio in the '12 Superliga final. =)

So Bia isn't really that interested in the national team, think she'll get another chance with players being rested? She is def. talented, good attacking and holds her own blocking.
Hey, give us your thoughts on Webster. Just watched her sub in late during a quarterfinal match and she looked pretty good. Ramirez is Ramirez, but Webster looked like she should be on the floor.
Were all bugging you because your our new Brasil Connect lol

BTW what is next season's cap on foreign players in Brazil?

I hope Ze will rest Fe Garay as well. She looked tired at the World Championships.

By "cap", you mean how many players? I think it'll be 2 again.
I wouldn't count on Zé resting Garay or Dani Lins. They even played in 2013 when Sheilla, Fabiana, Thaisa and Fabi were not with the team, and when those four came back to the WGP and were on the bench, Garay and Lins were still starting every single match.
Maybe that's why they didn't play very well at last year's WCH. Resting them a little bit would help, I agree.

I hope Ze will rest Fe Garay as well. She looked tired at the World Championships. I agree that Fe has looked lethargic as of late, but I don't think she's locked in as a definite starter when Gabi, Natália, and Jaque have the capacity to successfully start as OHs. IMO Sheilla, Fabiana, Thaisa and Camila Brait are the only players whose starting positions and placement on the team have already been determined or are all but guaranteed.
