Who is a good fit for this job? Need mad recruiting skills and a Canada connection as well. They had to hate losing Reed after 1 year. Wonder if he had a buy out.

Had their top candidate in yesterday, head coach with a history of improving programs.

Well, what Buffalo does NOT need is another coach looking to simply bide his/her time there before jumping to the next best thing. In a program like this one, that's very important. The program also needs someone who both knows the Northeast junior vb landscape but is well-connected with many other recruiting hotbeds across the nation. Heff is already living in WNY, but he has many connections across the country from his vb past. But whatever direction they go, they got some work to do.

Some places, like Buffalo, only exist as two things:
1. stepping stones for bigger and better things, and 2. final destination for the soon-to-be-retired

My vote is for one of the Pierce family to take over.

Had their top candidate in yesterday, head coach with a history of improving programs. Maybe with teams in small, weak conferences. Not sure that's so with team in strong conference.

Recruiting and training is the same. Get the best kids you and can and train them up. Top Candidate can do that. Knows his system and how to get buy in

The unrealistic expectations of the AD may scare some off.

The unrealistic expectations of the AD may scare some off. Danny White will leave UB the very first chance he gets. He's a clown.
