These rankings are solely on my opinion. I just want to see other peoples opinions on the top three players in each position.
Outside
1) Jocelynn Birks- She's hit over 500 kills every season thus far. She also ended B1G conference with the most double doubles making her an overall good player.
2) Ali Franti- She had a great freshman season, and hit efficiently. She's only going to get better for Penn State.
3) Kadie Rolfsen- She can kill the ball, but she has not yet proven to me that she can kill those important balls.
Middle
1) Haleigh Washington- She was great last season. She hit the highest hitting percentage last year in the Big Ten. She does need to improve on her blocking though.
2) Paige Tapp- She was the only real player on that Minnesota team that was efficient and effective. She did a lot for that team.
3) Taylor Sandbothe- She is very versatile and she can get the job done. I think she will be the main treat for Ohio State next year.
Right Side
1) Aiyanna Whitney- She really impressed me this year. After sitting out until this year she surprised me how good she really is. She reminds me of ariel Scott. Whitney, Washington, and Franti are the trio to watch next year.
2) Annie Drews- She had a break out season this year. She was the go to hitter for Purdue, partly because their outsides could not get the job done.
3) Abbey Cole- She also was the go to hitter for Michigan. If she wasn't doing well there was really no hope for that team.
Setter
1) Lauren Carlini- I don't think I have to explain myself.
2) Jordyn Poulter- I know she has not yet played a game yet in college, but there is so much hype on her. I've watched few of her games and I understand why. She is a natural setter and is smart. Illinois is lucky to have her next year.
3) Taylor Tashima/ Rachel Minarick- I think these two setters are probably one of the most underestimated setters in conference. They did a lot for their teams last year. Minarick reminds me a lot of Carlini (they did play on the same club team). I think Minarick would have gotten more credit if she had brought her team to the national championships like Lauren did.
Libero
1) Taylor Moorey- This girl gets every ball up. I was surprised at how good she really was. Taylor is going to be a key to Wisconsin success next season.
2) Brandi Donnelly- Wow this girl was great. She was not highly recruited, but the numbers she had this season made her look like she was a top 20 recruit coming out of high school. Hambly and his team did a great job getting her.
The third one I'm not really sure of.
