What - HBO sensationalizing a story to suck in viewers. I'm blown away with how students are complaining about their student-athlete experience. I would never trade my college playing career and my children feel the same way. If they don't appreciate the situation, get out!

Real Sports with Bryant Gumble profiled the emotional and physical abuse of NCAA Athletes. The volleyball segment was on Wake Forest Coach Ken Murczek. Interviewed an ex-player who described constant emotional abuse and threats of removing their scholarships. She said the whole team revolted and went to school officials. The rest of the episode was more of the same and a focus on how the NCAA treats its injured athletes.

Current: Show aired last night for the first time. I meant to ask did these situations happen last year, 5 years ago? What is the timeline?

The WF incident was last season. www.journalnow.com/sports/wfu/other/wake-forest-clears-volleyball-coach-in-title-ix-investigation/article_51fafe86-9c51-11e4-9d29-3354bb89b72f.htmlHe's only been there 2 years. Yeah, did you have 5 spinal surgeries by the age of 25, at your own expense? Were your daughters pitted against each other by their coaches? Was your major and all your classes decided for you without your input? Not EVERYONE has the same experience, but congratulations that you had a good experience.

I started another thread about the Swim USA sexual abuse coverup that lasted decades and was so widespread they purchased special off shore insurance to cover their butts while allowing the raping of innocents. Not sure if you think this is sensationalism also? Not sure how Outside mag convinced 80 juries to help "hype" their article. www.outsideonline.com/outdoor-adventure/water-activities/swimming/Swim-Coach-Sex-Offenders-USA-Swimming.html

So disturbing. Amazing that with all of the documentation of abuse these coaches somehow hang on to their jobs.
