Back to back days of modest earthquakes this week is helping Bay Area residents not worry so much about fire season. ::) Many earthquake deaths are due to fires, floods, avalanches, etc. So fire season is even more important.

the weather in austin is right on the cusp of hitting that wonderful sweet spot at which my A/C unit no longer needs to come on.
the temp inside is now below my cooling point. since i rarely rarely turn on my heater, the unit will be quiet for months.

Next four days expected to be warm in the Bay Area. Possible Red Flag winds and power loss for a few hundred thousand PG&E customers.

Windy. Smoke from the Sonoma County and Vallejo fires has reached the South Bay. Can’t breathe.

Raining here in the Bay Area. Nice. Are you getting the edge of the massive cyclonic storm hitting at the California/Oregon border?
