People have to stop using the word "surreal."

and very little national media attention. No Nebraskan is blaming anyone nor are they screaming for FEMA to rescue them. The destruction here is unreal.

I told you that you needed an anchor for it -- but you didn't listen.

Shame on you for not asking for a handout from the Feds. That's what we do here in CA. Except the governor of Nebraska is asking for FEMA money. (As he should, by the way.) It will go well with the millions in federal subsidies the farmers are getting to offset the drop in demand caused by tariffs. But no need to worry, the Vice President is going to Nebraska today and he says he will pray for the victims. I guess after god washes away your home, you can ask him for aid.

Its has been the worst thing to watch and especially to see so many animals lost to this. As tough as the economy is in farming it will most likely break tens of thousand of farmers and ranchers because flood insurance is almost impossible to get. Their are new flood warnings to four counties northwest of us. They had tons of snow and its warming up way too fast. We have several roads out and can barely to get my family farm and our flooding is very very minor compared to the rest of the state.

and we are very grateful to have the Vice President visiting and even more grateful for the prayers Tom. Faith is sometimes all you have.

tomclen asks a good question though: why would god wash away homes in the first place?

It's been cold, windy, and rainy the past couple of days here in the Bay Area (Northern California). This is unusual for May.
