Your poor kid must be so proud... You have no idea who you're talking to... or what their knowledge or skill set is in WHAT you are talking about... Def speaks for who the moron would be... sorry she called your kid for a double... probably cost you the match... Ah, now I get it...You clowns (or morons...) are ref's. Should gave figured that out a while ago. Tell ya what, next time your in a ref pow-wow before a match get out your little ref manual and tell her to read up on doubles. It's really a very easy rule to follow. Just stay consistent and that is all head coaches will ever ask of an up-ref. All refs call it differently. The rest of her reffing may be just fine but the lady really needs to clean up on that rule. JUST...BE...CONSISTENT... Whoa... I want to be there, so I can fancy dance... Ha ha..

I never had a problem with Devonie when I had her for club matches. I was always pretty happy when I found out she was going to be reffing my court. I also thinks it has been a trend in the last five years with double calls getting looser and looser.
If there is such a problem with how she calls her matches, I do not believe she would be reffing high level matches. I have played very few matches where I thought the refs were consistent from start to finish.
Now I am not a ref and have a question to pose to the refs and disgruntled hooligans on this forum. As a ref, do you call doubles more on certain styles of setting? For example, a girl/boy who has "softer hands" and a slower release compared to a girl/boy who has "slappy hands" and a quick release of the ball sets the same ball with a little spin on it.

UpRefsEnemy - You should really stop now. Yours is one of the worst entrances onto Volleytalk I've ever seen. You clearly don't have a great deal of volleyball experience, and you're just embarrassing yourself (and your kid, too).
If there was a bad call, so be it. It happens all the time, and your daughter will learn that on the court and in life, things are not always fair. Step back and let that happen. It's one of the many life lessons young players gain from playing their sport. Watch other, more experienced parents and emulate them.
Now, just let it go and walk away.

So what you're saying is she was so bad your kid got benched... ouch.... that had to hurt Ha! Nope...You see her problem is that she rarely calls doubles. The only thing consistent on her calling a match is that she makes equally bad calls for both teams. Someone needs to tell her that the ball is two different colors for a reason. You ref's sure do have thin skins. Ouch...that had to hurt... For the record, spin is not supposed to have anything to do with how a ref calls doubles.
