JJ, I'd just wish the title to this thread took the Men's name out and made it the NOLA AVP. BVBinfo.com seeems to be up to speed. Interesting to see Brad Lawson playing. Big time collegiate player at Stanford, a 6'7"-6'8" outside hitter. Don't think he's played any pro beach before. If he's serious about playing beach, he'll be someone to keep an eye on.

I wish there were some way to reseed to take into account pts but also common sense. That bottom quarter is so weak I think Mark/Shane probably get in despite the fact that neither could get a block to save his life

Some talk of "scoring" at the AVP...If I'm not mistaken, you can use the app and get "live scoring", pretty solid as I recall from Huntington '14...Wasn't advertised much....But did show all the active games and then you go to BVDB for the results...

Maybe I'm missing something but wasn't avpscoring.com suppose to have scores updated or is that sporadic. Not seeing any updates this morning.
Also, looking at my TV guide, looks like finals will be on NBC Sports channel late night on Tuesday... so much for somewhat Live coverage of finals. I thought the press release earlier this Spring suggested something along those lines for all the AVP events this year. Oh well... that's the state of beach volleyball on TV these days. Hopefully the streaming on Sat/Sun proves successful.

I am always surprised by some of the pairings. Obviously, points come into play. McColloch never seems to do that well yet he always finds partners that seem better than himself. I don't know if Crabb has ever played as a defender. He and Grotowski seem like an odd combo. Funny you say about odd. Grotowski out Marty Lorenz in w/ McColloch.

Kevin McColloch scheduled to play with Steve Grotowski. Maybe he is in with Lorenz now? Or maybe they took another Qualifier team to replace them. Men began at 8am and there were 2 rounds to complete. By 10am the quali was finally over. Play will start at 2pm CT today on stadium court only at main site, and they will use courts from the qualifier site at Coconut Beach facilty today also. Outer courts are washed out officially for today. Good luck and pray to the gods of no rain. I may post some info late night/early morning each day, but don't wait for this poster to feed you info even though I am here. Just too much on my plate for VT today.

A typo, I guess. As for the weather, welcome to New Orleans. And it probably doesn't help that Coconut has pretty much zero drainage and can turn into a swamp quickly. Wouldn't surprise me to see a couple of gators take up residence after a day of of heavy rain.

It figures that the "live" scoring feature on the avp.com site isn't working. Another year of a disappointing marketing and coverage.
