Hooker not being on the roster is so lame. But, congrats to the players who made the roster. I'm excited to see what contributions Megan, Molly, and Karsta will have.

Can someone remind me where Vansant played this past season? How did she perform?

Could easily see none of them being on the floor. Depending on what kind of shape Hodge is in, I see her playing more than the other two, if they are even on final roster

It's just really strange when you realize the 2012 Olympics might be Hooker's only go-around at that level. Maybe Tokyo, but things have to shift for that to happen.
I loved the idea of Hooker playing in the Rio Olympics - she seems to thrive and really go for it in hostile environments, and I'm sure if it'll be an absolute madhouse if/ when USA plays Brazil.

They will rotate players, especially because they want the A-team fresh for the Finals in Nebraska, and they don't need to worry about winning enough to qualify. With only 3 setters, Kreklow is certain to get significant time.

I thinks she has all the stuff to be a really good international setter.

If I recall correctly, when Destinee was dismissed last summer she immediately began scheduling and promoting her camps/clinics all over the country for this summer. She has like 20-25 of them. I don't know anything about anything, but it doesn't appear to me that she's even available. If Karch called and extended an invitation would she have cancelled all of these dates? Who knows.

Can someone remind me where Vansant played this past season? How did she perform? She played for Washington. She again was one of the best all-around OHs in the country. 4.67 k/set .320

I thought this was a Megan Hodge thread but has turned into a Destinee Hooker thread. When will some get over the fact that she isn't on the team. Geez. Someone please start a thread so you can complain about her not being on the team.

Well I'm over it, its those of you who can't get over it and continue to be negative about the future of this team and what they will be able to do (without Hooker.) But you are beating a dead horse every time there is a thread and there can't be a discussion about what's at hand.

Some of us regret that the USA's best player will not be on the team. Not having the best player on the team playing for the team is the BIGGEST story related to USA volleyball. Sorry that you find it annoying or "negative".

I remember that. I guess I thought that she had joined a profession team after the first of the year. I guess she didn't.

You can't deny that the make-up of the roster and the team is different with Destinee's exclusion; that's a completely valid discussion point in a thread. Obviously, people still care enough to post. And I find your interjection here amusing considering you've contributed absolutely nothing to a discussion of "what's at hand" apart from Destinee (protip: if you want there to be discussion of something else, post about it and get the conversation started).

Well I will post. I'm just giving it thought prior to posting something. I'm just waiting for posters to talk about Tom. Destinee exclusion is nothing new.
