Embarrassing or ...?
I've never watched one of these shows. She's on tonight, on ABC.

What's so bad about this show?? I haven't seen it in years but it's harmless, keeps her in the spotlight.

It probably paid quite well. Kerri's earning potential is going way down in the next few years. Grab the money while you can.

20K for a week of work? That is like winning three tournaments.

When I heard there was even a show called "wife swap", I think man our society has reached a new low.
Do the young athletes dreaming of playing sand in high school and now college or professional associate with a hero and 3 x golden girl that is a tier 3 reality show guest?
I sincerely hope not. I'll keep the image of her and Misty at center court winning gold as a reference point for me.
When I saw the AVP touting the show on FB today, I thought, wow, you cannot put up enough prize money for these tremendous athletes make a living so you celebrate garbage on TV as a link to your marketing efforts. Next it will be the biggest loser!
Edit: I guess I'm just old fashioned. Seems the show is just a big joke and folks are saying it was fun to watch the fam on TV. Oh well, I missed it, maybe catch them on a rerun.....

She opened up her brand to an entirely new audience. If she converts 0.01% of the reality tv craving audience to following up with any US beach volleyball action, it would grow our sport's fanbase like crazy.

I think you guys are making too big of a deal out of nothing. I watched the show.Basically they take two people with opposite lifestyles and have them swap household for a week. It seemed harmless to me.

It seemed harmless to me. Yeah, I guess the name of the program is supposed to make it sound salacious. It had a total of 3.34 million viewers according to Nielsen, with its share up 10% from last week. So that 0.01% of the viewership that camkerr referred to works out to 334 people.

If we can get those 334 to an AVP event, that would make an extra full bleacher to look good on TV! In all seriousness, it was a look inside her daily life. The volleyball athletes are supposed to be more accessible and approachable, which this would play into. I really see no negative here.

I would think that the viewing experience is a lot different from the participation experience. I've seen Wife Swap once and it's a sleezy show. Never watched it again. As a participant, I think it could be a lot of fun.
