I had work today while the match was on and they record everything we do, I dare not watch volleyball on a work computer. How did Lowe do today?

I remember when De Gennaro was a 'last resort' for Italy during the WCup 2011.. Cardullo, Croce, and Leonardi (at the time) were all out. She wowed at the tournament and now, she's one of the best in the world.

Italy has some of the world's most amazing liberos. They have a factory there of defensive specialists lol. Still a fan of Paola Cardullo, arguably the best in her time along with Sano (Japan) and Fabi (Brazil).
I know its still one year to go but aside from Larson and Hill, who do you think will be the 3rd and 4th OH for that Rio spot? Looks like Hildebrand might be behind Robinson and Hodge as of the moment.

Only watched the first set so far. Kreklow's OOS setting technique and skill are worse than Glass', and she's still setting too low and tight too often. Quite disappointed she shouldn't be the future of the team.

Non-starter with Hartong she can't pass better than Hill. I've only watched one set of Danielson on her Japanese team but I would assume she's a better passer than Hill. We know Karch is going for hitting ability first and height discrimination which unfortunately will exclude an opportunity for her.

Quite disappointed she shouldn't be the future of the team. It takes time for a setter to adjust to hitters and figure out how the staff wants her to run the offense etc. Glass still struggle sometimes in certain areas shes just overall better at is so far but she's injured. We are just going to have to tough it out. The hitters will have to stay patient when they get trap sets and just go off speed into the block and reset the plays. Sometimes they still try to blast seem when the sets are way too tight to even do that, all the blockers have to do is penetrate over and press the ball back into the court and it hits the floor before they land. Disciplined blockers can deal with the fast tempo, as we saw with China especially if they can get us out of system or the hitters get impatient on trap sets.

Congrats to the USA for beating Italy! Never an easy task! I don't think it was particularly impressive considering who Italy had on the floor.

Here's the roster for this weekend! www.teamusa.org/USA-Volleyball/Features/2015/July/02/US-Women-Open-FIVB-World-Grand-Prix-in-TurkeyOH: Kim Hill, Kelsey Robinson, Megan Hodge/Easy, Krista Vansant OPP: Karsta Lowe, Nicole Fawcett MH: Tori Dixon, Curtsy Jackson, Lauren Paolini, Lauren Gibbemeyer Setters: Molly Kreklow, Courtney Thompson Liberos: Kayla Banwarth, Tama Miyashiro Is it wrong to suspect that Nicole Davis is no longer in strong contention for a Rio spot? She didn't play in any of the matches against China. Joke joke of the day!!! Let's get real !!!
