I also agree. Stanford was number 1 till inky got injuried. Believe it will be psu now. Doesn't really matter though seeing those two play eachother like second week of season.

When has anyone but last year's champion not been #1 (serious question)? I suppose it happens when the NC lost a lot of returnees.
I don't think, as with football, there should be any polls until they hit the conference season. Otherwise, you end with "sticky" teams who don't move off the polls early enough.
