I agree it was nice to see UT win four in a row, regardless of the level of competition. Something they haven't been able to do the last two years. Jimenez and Dempsey had a strong tournament. I thought Holmes took some nice swings and was steady on the outside which was needed with Turner being injured. Treiber has a good looking future, and Villano and Schumaker were a good tandem in the backcourt. Both are quick. Hopefully they can continue with the momentum and gain some confidence over the preseason.

Florida sweeps Snyder and Recek had major passing issues today. Hoping Snider gets better.

Mary was right about O'rourke. She made some plays tonight no one made last year. I was highly impressed by her floor coverage. Work in progress with the passing, lots of sketchy moments there, but when they do pass, it's pretty. The blocking will make up for a lot of that while they figure things out. Timing not there with the middles, not sure if it was all passing though. Recek looked very good offensively.

Agree about the blocking and I really hope by november we can finally set our middles high enough...it's so frustrating to watch them struggle cuz of sets that are too low.

In the write up previewing the past weekend's tournament for LSU, Fears doesn't even get mentioned. Ehrle and the transfer Gibson are the starting middles mentioned (though it looks like F Brittany Welsh played in 2 of the 3 matches this past weekend instead of Ehrle). Depending on the severity of the injury and the time missed, that could be a huge blow for the Tigers' season. Plus, it looks like they are playing a 5'7" setter - Wood (or a 6-2 with Wood and either Ogle or Flory).
Could be a long year in Baton Rouge - and Fran may have a big coaching challenge.

This isn't usually an award. Is it new this year? It is new this year. And it also looks like they are choosing one of the 4 players of the week as the overall SEC player of the week. This week it was Nakeyta Clair.

I noticed that Stephanie Campbell and Macy Reece got limited playing time for Auburn this weekend. Was that due to injury or did they just get beaten out of their positions?
