Arizona State got a lot of respect from the coaches, hope they do well this year. They brought everybody back last year, and are doing it again this year. Sun Devils are hoping 3rd times the charm. Gonna be hard to be better than they are this year after Gardner's gone.

Obviously it must have been Dunning who voted Washington #1, because he couldn't have voted for Stanford. Perhaps that is a reflection of Dunning's recent experiences playing in Seattle. I do expect the Huskies to be good, but it's an open question who (other than Stanford) will end up being in the top of the PAC this year.

Interesting that Inky is not on the list of pre-season all-PAC players. Obviously all the coaches believe she won't be playing this year, because nothing else would keep her off that list.

The vote totals show there's not a lot of consensus - aside from Stanford. ASU in second only has 99 votes (a "chalk" second would have them at 110), and lowly WSU has twice what they would if everyone voted them last. With so many key contributors graduating, hard to predict how the chips will fall.

I think Stanford will stay at the top for the majority of the season... The rest is pretty much going to be a battle every week. Teams could drop and teams could get better. I see Cal and USC improving drastically

"Alexis Austin OH So." ... don't Buff fans WISH she were just a Sophomore. Then they could have her playing for them for 2 more years after this season. But she is really a senior.

Any predictions on FOY? I mean obviously Hodson is the front runner but who else could win it? Perhaps Vander Weide? The incoming freshmen aren't the strongest this year.

Hodson is the presumptive favorite. Kylie Pickrell could snag it if she wins the setting job and ASU meets expectations. I'm predicting Vander Weide will put up nice numbers. Dahlke and Woodford both have the potential to take a LOT of swings to rack up those counting stats. But I imagine it will be Hodson by a good bit.

Otherwise, maybe Dunning or someone on his staff made a courtesy call to all other school's coaches informing them that Inky was a no-go.
