Not a hell of a lot of time for that to happen. The guy's a great coach, but he ain't a miracle worker.

You can't have fun? People were saying that the Notre Dame turnaround would happen quickly, as in this year. Not everyone, just some. I'm not going to search for it. You know it happened.

I dont recall a single post that suggested they would be a strong team this year. If there is one, please re-post it. If there isn't one, crawl back under a rock. I think he is a great coach, I have kids who play there, and I didnt think for a second they would be even in the top half of their conference.

The standard line is: it takes 3-4 years to bring in and develop your own players while you wait for the players from the former regime to graduate (or leave).

Notre Dame lost a tough five-setter to Cleveland State today. According to 2013-2014 figures, Cleveland State's entire athletics budget ($11M) is smaller than ND's budget for women's athletics ($15.21M). Cleveland State's head coach salary is around $75,000, McLaughlin was paid $275,000 in his last year at UW.

Not a hell of a lot of time for that to happen. The guy's a great coach, but he ain't a miracle worker. Miracle worker is reserved for Kelly Sheffield as of recently.
