So glad Nebraska and Texas have continued to play each other every season despite the conference realignment issues of several years ago; great volleyball rivalry. Will be curious to see how this annual tourney affects on-campus matchups when Florida and Oregon host this even in the coming years. This doesn't have any effect on Friday's match, but I don't Nebraska has won at Gregory Gym since 2005. And, hasn't beaten Texas since 2008. Huskers last beat Texas in 2010, at the Coliseum, 3-1. Still been a while.

Sorry I didn't get the years right; relying on my memory doesn't always produce the most accurate results. The only thing that I don't think ever happened in the series is each team winning in the other team's gym in the same season.

Yup, It's a good rivalry, that has been even at times, and lopsided both ways at times. This is the first match in the last few, where I think going into it, there isnt much of a favorite. Texas at home is an advantage but two very equal but different teams. I actually think Nebraska may have a few more advantages in this match, haven't been able to say that the past several years.

The last time the Huskers won both was in 2006, but that was a very special team. It seems Texas has owned the Huskers as of late.

Ackermen was the player that swung it the past few years when she chose Texas over Nebraska. That recruit hurt.

After last weekend, Texas needs to provide a different lineup to compete with Nebraska and Florida for that matter. If they don't, I see Texas losing both matches at home.

When it comes to voting I always go Nebraska; but in reality I know I would not bet on the outcome of Friday's game! GO HUSKERS

You have to sign in with a cable provider, but honestly, I just use a friend's sign in. Check here to see if you have access at espn.go.com/longhornnetwork/getaccess

You were right, "Mo" is wonderful for Texas. Glad she is a part of the program. Great things in the future for this rising star!

Texas still has setting and passing issues. Nicole did not set well last weekend and Chloe is a liability blocking. Great middles. Still don't know who is playing RS, which changes who plays middle, potentially. Is Ebony playing? Unproven outside, and maybe even uncertainty there. Amy Neal played well first week but has struggled against better blocking teams. Lots of questions for Texas.

Some of those questions will be answered with Ebony in the line up. Texas will go back to the 6-2 with Molly & Ebony at OP. Neal is definitely going to be relied on heavily. Her serving and defense were great this first weekend, passing had a couple of shaky moments but IMO better than last year. Prieto needs to step it up and be more aggressive on offense otherwise I'd rather have Yazzie in there swinging away like she did last weekend. The competition for the second OH will heat up as soon as White is back on the court.

Oregon hosts a home-and-home in football with Nebraska in 2016 and 2017, so I assume the Ducks are going to take a match-up with Nebraska and try to cross-promote the heck out of it. (The teams will also have played enough in the past few years that a VB cross-divisional rivalry might be built up).

The nice thing for the Huskers is that they wont have to promote the heck out of it! I agree with you on schedule. I'll find out what it is specifically but what you say makes sense.
