Realistically, how long will it take to make Notre Dame a top 25 program? Two years of recruiting? Or, are there a ton of verbal commitments that also overhang the program? How could they have become so weak with such a great school brand name and education to offer recruits? Seton Hall just beat them badly.

Give JMac at least a year or two. He can work miracles!

they had 20 kills in a 3-0 loss to Seton Hall. They are barely 1-3 vs opponents who have zero business competing with ND in anything. Going to be a VERY long year for ND. They will be very good, but it wont be a lot of fun for ND fans.

Notre Dame can be rebuilt but you need ribbed vaulting, pointed arches, and flying buttresses.

Notre Dame is overrated. Chartres kicks her butt. v. That joke was waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more trouble than it was worth.

I didnt anticipate ND having a very strong year, but this team may lose 25 matches.

Any top GM2 clubs back east? That might be his best chance of a talent infusion.
I don't see him wresting anyone away from Rose, however.

Seton Hall owned ND after losing six seniors, including their all-conference 4-year starting setter.

I didnt anticipate ND having a very strong year, but this team may lose 25 matches. Brown didn't do much with what she had and Jim doesn't implode rosters like Colorado or San Jose State. Even at Washington it took until the second year to get going.

Yes, JMac has a reputation, but will it be enough to pull top CA recruits to South Bend? His initial success at UW was largely based on NW recruits. Other than Vansant, most of his recent CA recruits were from one GM2 club, TStreet.

Do you mean his initial success was based on kids from NW europe? Notre Dame can and will get kids from everywhere. Again, it was a very big appeal to him. ND has more potential to be a great program than UW does IMO, and I believe his and many other peoples opinion as well.
