I was watching the game live at the Galen Center and could not believe how fast USC's in-system sets are to the outside. It almost seems like a shoot set to the pin. Washington took a whole set to figure out how to block it. This offense really benefits Alyse Ford and gave Bricio a lot of seem to hit. Ford is so much fun to watch, she hangs in the air and just adjust as she goes. Iam hoping she develops a more repertoire of shots as the season goes on. USC really needs Abercrombie to play more consistently. I think that if USC loses a couple games Mick should adjust the lineup and move Ruddins at opposite and Dunn in the middle.

Dunn looked good during warmups and runs the slide effectively. I think they should start running a 5-1 because Abercrombie does not seem to like the sets pizza is giving her

I really like Ruddins in the middle, her armswing is super-quick, and it catches the other team off guard. I like this fast offense that they're running. Most of the time, they beat the block, and Bricio's game suits this fast offense.

I think it also benefits Ford since she is getting most of her kills off tool shots. I think Abercrombie needs to step up for USC to be a final four caliber team.

Maybe they should switch the rotation and have Pizza set Abercrombie. Apparently Abercrombie does not like that quick set from Johnson.

Apparently Abercrombie does not like that quick set from Johnson. That's something USC will need to address. Abercrombie should be second in this team in kills if they want to make a deep run in the tourney. Can't get away with an anemic RS attack.

You do realize that you are talking about switching Pizza to setting Abercrombie, which leaves Johnson to set Johnson....

Apparently Abercrombie does not like that quick set from Johnson. Uhhhhh... so if you have Abercrombie playing OPP and Pizzasegola playing setter, where is Johnson? On the bench? Then when it's time for Pizzasegola to be in the front and Abercrombie in the back row, what do you do? Put Johnson in for Pizzasegola? Who replaces Abercrombie to set while Johnson plays OPP? Johnson is only one person. I think you maybe missed that part.

I was at the game yesterday and thought both teams played at a very high level. It was fun to watch. Minimizing a few hitting errors by the Huskies could have changed the outcome. "SC floor defense really stepped up and kudos to the entire team for fighting till the end. I think both of 'SC setters were erratic at times, and definitely not consistent with the back sets to Abercrombie. I really don't think it's Abercrombie's fault for her low hitting avg. I think she needs to change her hitting style and be open to any kind of sets that comes to her... meaning having a repertoire of shots pending on the sets (too low = more cut, too high = tool block, perfect set = bomb). I know this is easier said than done, but I don't think the sets will get better anytime soon, so she might as well have a hitting strategy and not try to bomb away every time..... I think she's too good of a player to not play, and I love Ruddins at the middle (please don't switch her position).... my 2 cents here
