Thank you on the updates (Morgan J and Ebony). One more question, why has Lauren Beard been pulled out of the starting lineup? I noticed Dalton was playing back row. Does anyone know why this change took place? Is the purpose to have Dalton setting?

Ebony has been in boot since playing against Nebraska. Supposedly, she hasn't practiced since Sept. 8th according to Paul Sunderland, who commentates on all the matches on the Longhorn Network. Rumors are that she may not play at all for the rest of the season and may try to get a medical red-shirt this season. It was also announced that Micaya White will red-shirt after having surgery for a stress fracture in the beginning of the season. MB Morgan Johnson was in the starting line-up when Molly was playing Opposite. But now that Yaasmeen Bedart-Ghani has been moved to the RS, Molly has moved back to the middle and Morgan is now on the bench. Johnson was injured & in a boot. Not sure if she is still wearing it.

But I don't think so. It appears to me Elliott prefers her experience over Beard which makes sense if Dalton is healthy enough. She looked pretty good against Iowa State.

I don't get why she isn't passing all rotations in the back. I think her SR is much better than Brooks'.

He has been subbing in Mirta for Chloe at the end of matches to block and then Nicole is already in the game warmed up and ready to set from the back row. It's better than Nicole coming in cold to block and set when he was subbing Nicole in the front row for Chloe earlier in the season.

Sorry about Ebony. Is a medical redshirt in the offing? I wondered what happened to Sutherland. He was the LA Lakers announcer after Chick Hearn died and also did a lot of college and Olympic volleyball commentating. He was very good at his craft. He's all over the PAC 12 games and does all Texas VB. I want to say he does some college basketball in the PAC as well.

Without Ebony, OOS balls dug by the setter don't go down as easily because every OOS ball dug by the setter right now is set by a libero or DS. Almost always a high ball and nearly always goes outside. Second contact can be taken by Nicole in these situations and she can likely better the ball beyond what is happening now. She also has decent ball control, although god help her on that serve.
