Pavan for 2008, Cruz for 2012 I'd take both now.

Pavan was so much fun to watch. Does/did she play for the Canadian National Team?

Pavan was so much fun to watch. Does/did she play for the Canadian National Team? Yes, she used to play indoor vball for the Canadian NT, but then she declared that she would be pursuing beach volleyball for Team Canada a couple years ago.

#skoskers Wow! I love when indoor players make the transition to outdoors. Good for her!

Apples or oranges, night or day, figure or ground, beginning or end, ocean or mountain, pleated or flat, ascension or descension.
This is the way volleytalk ends, no serve, no spike, no dig, only a thread.

I would think that Canada not regularly qualifying for indoor at the olympics might have pushed it that way also.

Pavan for 2008, Cruz for 2012 I agree. Pavan would have helped a little in 2008, not enough to get an OGM. Cruz might have been a solid sub to replace Larson in the gold medal match in 2012 London. The US brought no solid backup passer hitters behind Tom and Larson.

Am I the only one who thinks L2 was our biggest weakness in Beijing?

I would still have picked Larson over Cruz on the leftside, and as good as Pavan was in college, I don't think she would have been able to beat out Hooker on the rightside.

Am I the only one who thinks L2 was our biggest weakness in Beijing? No, I was depressed and drinking a lot during that time period ... that's what a substandard L2 will do to you
