Sometimes we forget how hard they work and how well they do at the so-called mid-majors. Laura is one of the best people in the sports and recently got her 500th victory. The game has changed a lot since she played at Texas in the early 1980s. She said this about that: “When we played, you were a more complete player. There were more all-around players because we had to serve and dig to win a point. Now, you have all the defensive specialists in the back row who are there to pass and these big guns on the front row who are there to hit. “I think there was a lot more emphasis on ball control back then whereas now your big hitters don’t necessarily have to be the best ball handlers.” The story: destinationvolleyball.com/2015/10/08/500-victories-and-neugebauer-groff-still-getting-it-done-at-utsa/

She has an outstanding class coming in next fall as well. Very impressed by what she is doing at UTSA.

And UTSA has the most gracious fans...the kind who are still very polite and congratulatory after they get beaten at home...classy bunch of people. (They must have been going crazy after they beat Oregon last month.)
