I had a smile on my face today while watching the live score of a game in the 2015 SGB Samsung Supercup pre-season tournament in Szamotuly, Poland, in which the Polish squad Tauron MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (with Micha Hancock, Deja McClendon, Rebecca Perry, and Becky Pavan) took on the German champions Dresden SC (with Gina Mancuso, Katie Slay, Jen Cross, and Whitney Little). For the record, DSC prevailed 3-1 in a tight match, but the highlight for me was just contemplating all these former NCAA athletes competing with and against each other again so far from home—especially Hancock and McClendon battling with former team mate Slay. Suffice it to say the NCAA was well-represented today! Tomorrow DSC takes on Impel Wroclaw with Kristen Hildebrand, and Tauron MKS Dabrowa Gornicza plays against the Czech champs VK Agel Prostejov.

In other breaking news, Katie Slay is still tall.

Did she get taller? My goodness, she played at 6'6" and she looks might be taller than that now.
