Time for a new thread! First legit dismissal of the season has taken place in Ted's state. If you know something, say something, don't be so arrogant as to speak in 'code'. You are putting question marks over a lot of people and programs, and with a signing period still open this is not ok. Signing period closed on November 10th, so that isn't a factor.

Nope...dead period concluded on Nov 10th, signing period is open until the 16th. www.nationalletter.org/signingDates/index.html

Is McNulty from Daniel Webster going to Southern New Hampshire? She was successful at UMass Lowell when they were DII, but after they switched to DI she jumped ship. Now after a good year at DWU, she's gone and there is an opening at Southern NH DII. Southern NH took over DWU this past september. She didn't jump ship. She was thrown overboard. Big difference.

This is a surprise. He seemed to be building something for the future, with a roster that had only 2 seniors and no juniors.

Interesting, I know she did well when they were dII, and although did poorly in the first year as dI, that would not be enough to fire her? Was she thrown under the bus?

This is a surprise. He seemed to be building something for the future, with a roster that had only 2 seniors and no juniors. Not a surprise to anybody paying attention. They had a young team last season, only losing 2 to graduation. In his first year ever as a HC he managed to chase 7 student athletes away, the majority of them starters and a first year AC looking to make his mark in D1. He then proceeded to bring in a bunch of young talent, who likely quickly learned why 7 SA's and a first year AC departed ways, despite whatever rhetoric they were sold during the recruiting process. He then manages to take that young team and lead them to tie their worst conference record in 40 years. The good news is they have some SA's that will likely be thrilled with the decision and feel like the Athletic Department supports them. They have two wonderful AC's, one of whom has been there 6 or 7 seasons under a couple of different HC's, with roots in the area. I imagine there aren't too many remaining with this program who are upset with this news. Go Griz! Daryl, I notice Rachel isn't listed on the roster anymore. Chalk another one up to parents who interfere and disgruntled athletes who struggle to adjust to having responsibility and accountability. Montana got what they wanted in Brian and that was someone more aggressive and engaging with the community. Unfortunately it wasn't a fit. Brian will bounce back and on his feet and the athletes will develop some resiliency and grow. Go Griz!

It depends--will they consider male coaches throughout the process or just toss those resumes out immediately? And that's not snark. Sadly, that's a Maryville reality.
