Anyone know how the awards are determined? Vote of the coaches?
Hugh seems like a lock for coach of the year. I'd have a hard time not giving player of the year to Santana. She's the heart and soul of the B1G champs, and probably meant more to her team than most anyone else in the league. And Seliger-Swenson for for freshman of the year, although I'd be surprised if Foecke didn't get some votes, too. No doubt both will be unanimous selections on the all B1G freshman team. Hard to argue with Carlini as setter, although Seliger-Swenson's numbers were awfully good, too. Can't see anyone else getting serious consideration.
That doesn't leave any selections for Nebraska, but I'll bet they get several on all B1G teams.
Edit: Forgot about DPOY. Wong-Orantes would be a good choice, and keep Nebraska from being shut out of the top awards.

...but how many conference awards does the fourth-place team usually receive?

After this season, I dont even think any of their players are even remotely in contention for any major post season awards

And yet Courtney is probably the 2nd best player in the league, behind Carlini -- and that's apples and oranges.
Amazing year for Santana. No reason to give both awards to Carlini, especially since Wisconsin finished 3rd.

It's cut and dried this year. Carlini might get some POY votes but everything else is pretty obvious.
The All Big 10 team could be interesting. Here's how I'd vote:
S-Carlini OPP-Drews OH-Santana OH-Birks MB-Washington MB-A Rolfzen L-Wong Orantes

No reason to give both awards to Carlini, especially since Wisconsin finished 3rd. I have no problem with Santana as POY But i would say SSS is more valueable to gopher team. Gophers win more games with SSS setting, Goehner and Wilhite hitting vs Schau Setting, Santana and Wilhite hitting. Wasn't this same gopher team .500 in big ten last year...and the really only change is SSS setting?

The two biggest changes from 2014 to 2015 are SSS and Santana's health (and she's still not 100% imo). Even so, it's not between SSS and Santana. It's between Carlini and Santana. I can't see giving the POY to the 3rd place team's setter, no matter how good she is.
