You have some explaining to do Ms. Berger!

Interesting that she named the last four in and the first four out. Have they done that in past years?

She would have named the last four in and the last four out last night on ESPN, but for some reason ESPN didn't put her on the air. Go figure.

So what conference does she think is better than the B1G or the PAC? She corrected herself to say "two of the top three" so I assume she is going with the stupid RPI theory of the Big 12 being better than the PAC-12. I went to a Big 8 school, but I think very few real people would say the Big 12 is better than the PAC 12. Not even close.

Despite that the people from the universities in question leave the room, the rest of the committee obviously knows who is who. It's much easier to welcome your co-members back into the room with a "they're in" than it would be to have to say "sorry". It would be interesting to go back and study whether bubble teams with members on the committee fare better than other bubble teams.

Also, IMO there are about 8 pac 12 teams better than the 3rd or 4th big 12 team.

Berger makes it seem as though it was a surprise UNI, got in. It was never a surprise for anyone paying attention. Every tournament eligible team that had a member on the Committee got in, it's not a surprise, it's expected.

Probably 5th but UCLA can be up and down, so maybe 4th. And 5th or 6th in the B1G.

Because this is expected does not mean it's any less crappy. This interview shows just how pathetic and corrupt this process is. 3 of the 4 teams that were last in had lower RPI's than the 4 teams out. All of those 4 teams had worse last 10 records than the 4 out- especially AZ, and OR.
What CRAP.

Also, IMO there are about 8 pac 12 teams better than the 3rd or 4th big 10 team. I disagree. As much as I like the PAC-12 I think there is a clear distinction between the top four (UW, USC, Stanford and UCLA) and the next four (Colorado, Oregon, UA and ASU). I think there are at least five B1G teams that would finish above that second group (Minnesota, Nebraska, Wisconsin, PSU, Ohio State) and of those at least three that would slot in after UW and USC.

Teams and conferences with reps on NCAA committees fare better than teams/conferences without reps.

Thus my earlier suggestion that the committee have (most/all?) people from low RPI programs.
