Probably the only headline these teams will get this year at Volley Talk, but since its one of the weekly picks, I thought I'd start a thread on it. Oh yeah, the scores!!! www.nsu.edu/athletics/story.php?id=41430-15, 30-10, 30-23 Other matches tonight: 10/7 Bethune-Cookman 3-0 Louisiana-Lafayette vs. Lamar Pacific vs. Cal State Fullerton South Dakota State vs. Northern Colorado UC Irvine vs. Long Beach State Utah State vs. UC Santa Barbara

They are probably still working to find things. Although a lot of teams have gotten things together against Norfolk St (heck, they are the team that Savannah St actually competes with)

Now I'm no expert like IB, but at least I picked Bethune-Cookman over his team, Norfolk State, which had a negative -235 Pablo score, if that is not a typo. OK so you add back 253 for the home court advantage. So, now all ears await the Lamar Lo-La result.

I think the most interesting matchup of the night is the beachless vs. Irvine.

I agree. any news on that? There's also the question of whether UCSB will rebound.

You'll be happy to know that Idaho had no problem with Cal Poly. No big surprise though, a REALLY down year for them.

Louisiana Lafayette is the winner over Lamar. IB is vindicated. But another one for Pablo to ponder.

Hey, don't forget about me. Not only did I get LL right, but I picked BC like almost everyone else(remembered that a lot of people got victories off them). However, South D state and L B State hurt me. I know they were on the road but jeez. I keep going with them when they lose. Come on, brian... Some help here.

Okay, Island. You want the strokes? four right, two not right. Now that you've done all you can do until the contest is over, there's nothing left but to hope or pray or to cycle a double century and spend the rest of the weekend recuperating.
Note: This was modified in response to Islands post below, which was correct.

Pardon. Publius, I have a deep respect for you but I don't understand this post. How did I get four wrong? It's the other way around. UCSB, Pacific, LL, BC won. NC and LBSU lost. Why should I pray? I don't get this. Did I just sound too anxious so I get smack? I'm sorry if I came off as the bottom child(I am I admit). Sorry about that.

sorry, Island, I took your prior post to mean you acknowledged getting only two right, and I didn't verify it before posting. You are correct in stating you got four right. I'm really not the religious kind so please don't read anything into my suggestion to pray. I stand by my suggestion to cycle a double century and then take the rest of the weekend off, though. It's advice I would give to anyone who is healthy and has a bike and 12 hours. And a weekday to do it if you live with a lot of red-neck traffic.
