I am gonna go with this one "Jerritt Elliott has straight up beaten and outcoached John Cook the last 7-8 years; he has achieved so much more than both Cook and Dunning in that time span. Neither can carry his jockstrap . . ."
I should note that Texas has in fact outperformed Nebraska and Stanford over that span, the notion Elliot coached circles around those two is what warranted a mention for your distinguished award, and I think Elliot is a good coach.

To imply Jerrit has run circles around anyone is absurd. In 2013, Texas ENTIRE starting lineup, minus libero, were top 10 recruits, with some on the bench as well. They had 2 number one recruits. They lose. Jerrit is a fantastic recruiter and coach, but I can name coaches who IMO, could do better. No knock on him though.

No, Huskerjen will bask in the attention. It's all he/she is seeking.

I would give it to the TCU coach who characterized Hawaii's offense as one-dimensional. I know she didn't say it in a post but She still gets my vote. I'm sure she gets Shoji's vote as well.

Case in point Stanford and I am a Cardinal fan. I think what Elliot has done has been quite impressive they are a mainstay at the Final Four the past few years. I think its especially impressive when everyone constantly craps on how the Big 12 is such a weak conference compared to the power 2 (PAC 12 and Big Ten).

Everything huskerjen has posted in the past few days is my nomination. Nope. Everything I've posted is pure gold. Btw, when I posted about respecting Hawaii's program and how Shoji has class when another poster suggested he'd whine about losing, was that boneheaded? Apparently, since "everything" has a fairly strict definition.

I will re-iterate that I think he has done a great job, to deny that would be foolish. Out coaching is very difficult to determine, but it usually implies the ability to beat opponents who are better than you, or blow out teams of equal talent. TCU beating Texas you could say someone was out coached, or OSU beating Nebraska, LMU beating Stanford.......

No, Huskerjen will bask in the attention. It's all he/she is seeking. Can you guys stop being sexist? Quality trash talking isn't exclusive to men. Just because I'm good at it doesn't mean I'm a guy.

Very true, hence why I think he's a great coach, but to say he's run circles around other coaches, simply isn't true. I mean, he's lost to Hawaii, and Hawaii has significantly less prep talent. The man is good, but IMO, others are better. Not a lot, but they are out there.
