Saving my spot The oil will be burning all night long...... BTW I goofed at the beginning of part 9 as I forgot to hit record and missed that 12th point made by PSU sorry about that... I am thinking, the NCAA Selection Committee will go back to giving PSU patsy opponents until the Regional Final. Cause when PSU does not have walk over opponents they cannot even reach the Regional Final. Enough Said.

Well, that must be the answer to all those National Championships. They always played patsys. So, if you get swept by Minnesota, you were one.

what was the attendance like at this regional? It sounded like Hawaii had a pretty large fan contingent.

I watched all the matches except Minnesota/Ill; of the seven matches this one was the biggest beat down.

People need to stop with "if PSU had a tougher route they wouldnt have won those titles" Newsflash, to WIN you have to beat the best, and they do. Would it have been harder? Sure, maybe a little more tired, but PSU deserved all the titles they won

1. UH hit .389 for the match. The next highest that a PSU opponent hit was Iowa at .283 (Iowa still lost). 2. UH hit .161 pts. higher than PSU. Next highest was Nebraska, .115 pts. higher last month in its 3-0 win over the Lions. 3. No other PSU opponent had five players hit .250+ for the match (min. 10 attempts) and three players hit .300+ (min 10 att.). 4. For a 3-set match, UH had only 10 hitting errors, the lowest of any PSU opponent, and its 3.33 errors/set is the lowest in all PSU’s matches. In a 3 set match, Minnesota and Nebraska managed only 14 errors each earlier in the season against PSU. 5. PSU had 3 team blocks and 1 blk/set, PSU lows for a 3-set match (for the first stat) and for any match (for second stat). 6. UH had 13 more assists than PSU, or 4.33/set more. NW had 13 more assists in its win over PSU, but that was a 5-set match. No other opponent had such an assist advantage. 7. For only the fourth time this year, PSU was out-blocked by an opponent. The others were Minnesota (twice) and Nebraska. 8. Finally, and most impressively, UH had a season-high 73% side-out percentage for a PSU opponent (next highest was the Nebraska win at 66%)–side-out stats not available for all PSU matches, but still very, very impressive.
IMHO, UH dominated PSU like no other opponent has this year.
Found this on HawaiiWarriorWorld. Granted, this was played on a neutral court, so maybe it would have been different on PSU floor, but the Wahine saved their best game In YEARS for this day.

Why can't you be happy about the win instead of making ridiculous comments about the best program in volleyball over the course of many years?

I am absolutely thrilled that Hawaii defeated Penn State tonight!! I will be cheering hard for them to beat Minnesota tomorrow and watching on TV. Congratulations to all of their players and coaches on their impressive success this season!!
I fell in love with this team on the night of November 6th, when I watched the Wahine recover from a slow start to dominate and dismantle Long Beach State in impressive fashion at the Pyramid. I remember being particularly impressed with the play of Tayler Higgins that night, and just being impressed overall with the TEAM play of Hawaii. I left the match with the feeling that Hawaii could go far this season and thoroughly enjoyed watching the team play that night and since then.
Also remember that this team has been traveling for the last six weeks and have been enjoying huge success on the road...ironic considering all the criticism the team had earlier for having too many home games. This team deserves credit for enduring challenging and difficult travel for the last six weeks and still having amazing success.
