It was a tough year for Tiger fans with the departure of their AA middle and being decimated by injuries this past year. Who is on the horizon over the next couple of years? Hear there is a 6'6" MH for 2017 but don't know much about her. Can they make it back to the NCAA tournament soon?

LSU loses four players to graduation but are bringing in a very good class in 2016. Of the players lost, the libero Emily Ehrle and OH Cati Leak will need to be replaced, Lindelow and Smith were role players that can be replaced fairly easily. LSU is very very short on DS/Lib though, maybe they could convert one of their MB's to Libero? They have enough of them! 2016 Sydney Mukes, OH - UA AA HM Milan Stokes, OH - UA AA HM, #79 PrepVB Anna Zwiebel, S - UA AA 2nd team, #92 PrepVB, MaxPreps AA 3rd team - could be a nice complement to Wood in their 6-2 system Jacqui Armer, MB Jariel Tureaud, MB www.lsusports.net/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=27816&SPID=2165&DB_LANG=C&ATCLID=210491697&DB_OEM_ID=5200 2017 Raigen Cianciulli, Libero 2019 Allee Morris, MB

They only ran a 6-2 this year because their best setter, Wood, was far too short to play front row, so they brought in Fran's daughter across the front. With Zweibel coming in, you simply have to believe that they immediately try her in the 5-1 and hope she can handle it/grow into it (is she really 5'10"?)
LSU struggled mightily with consistency and ball control this year. Their offense was almost entirely from the pins (Leak, Tillis) as a result. Tillis had all-world matches and some rather shaky efforts, as well. They will get (I hope) Fears back from her 2nd knee injury, but will she be able to be as dynamic a force as she was before she went out? She hasn't played in 2 years.
Tillis, Eugene, and Rodriguez have potential at the pins if LSU can run its up-tempo offense. But without the passing, none of them is (imo) dynamic enough to consistently score against a decent block. I think they are going to struggle this year, but looking forward they have some talent in the program and Fran has proved to be both a good recruiter and a wiz at getting the best out of the players she does have.

Zweibel needs to run a 5-1 from day one. I have seen her play consistently for a few years now, and I'm pretty sure she can help the team out tremendously. She battles. She's the real deal.

I just thought you forgot a comma - "the libero, Emily Ehrle, and OH Cati Leak ..."
Let's eat Grandma!

Who were they thinking about picking up in 2018? Will they have any scholarships available?

There are many RS/OH left in 2018 class that would fit in well at LSU.
