Khalia is the best 3 rotation outside. Haggerty is the best true 6 rotation outside.

Well, according to Tawa, it's Lanier. Also according to the fine folks at Gatorade.

Leah Edmond doesn't get talked about that much on this board, but she is a huge jumper and has massive potential. Not saying she is the best outside hitter right now, but don't be surprised to see her make some noise during her career at Kentucky

It is sooooo interesting to see how players that were dominant when they were 14 or 15 are no longer the same player. And there are also lots of examples of kids who did not get noticed early in their career who are now the better players in their class, even though many people refuse to change their views as the girls have progressed (good or bad). It's a flaw in the recruiting process that it happens so early, especially for girls. Leah Edmond is a great example and so is Brianna Haugen, both late bloomers. In the 2016 class, the setter position is probably the best example where the rankings really should have changed a lot in the last 12 months, as body types, athleticism and skill-sets have evolved.

Minncoach, how would you rank the setters in the 2016 class. If not ranking them is your thing, which setters are underrated since the senior class of 2016 was last ranked by prep volleyball in September 2015? Thanks

I'm a huge fan of Gia Milana and hope she blossoms at Maryland. I also really liked what little I saw of Scoles in the UA match.

Thanks Well, I would go with Sydney Hilley and Norene Iosia (both highly touted) but instead of the other much talked about setters like Gray, Hunter Atherton and Katie Oleksak, there are setters I have seen that are a lot better than they get credit for. 1) Rachel Rippee - Springfield (Arkansas) 2) Cali Thompson - Encore (Portland) 3) Tess Reid - KC Power (LMU) 4) Jenn Wineholt - Coast (Virginia) 5) Meghan Donovan - Rockwood Thunder (Georgia)

Sydney Hilley is a 2017, Norene Iosia definitely gets a lot of talk on this board, it's Hunter Atherton, and Meghan Donovan is a top 50 recruit. Also Katie Oleksak has 2 k's in her last name but maybe that's an honest typo.

Thanks for the correction, edits made. I know Hilley is 2017 but she plays with the class of '16 and to me is one of the elite in the 18s grouping. -- Well, I would go with Sydney Hilley and Norene Iosia (both highly touted) but instead of the other much talked about setters like Gray, Hunter Atherton and Katie Oleksak, there are setters I have seen that are a lot better than they get credit for. 1) Rachel Rippee - Springfield (Arkansas) 2) Cali Thompson - Encore (Portland) 3) Tess Reid - KC Power (LMU) 4) Jenn Wineholt - Coast (Virginia) 5) Meghan Donovan - Rockwood Thunder (Georgia) Read more: volleytalk.proboards.com/thread/62049/best-incoming-outside-hitter#ixzz40Fq9UAGE

OH's that will make impact as freshman? Instead of "Best Incoming OH" Since she is not that?
