In lawsuit, volleyball players accuse Mt. Lebanon coach of sexual misconduct Pittsburgh Post-Gazette - Apr 25, 2016 Four high school girls say in a federal lawsuit that a former Mt. Lebanon School District volleyball coach subjected them to “unwanted conduct of a sexual nature” and that the district ignored warnings about him before he was hired last year. goo.gl/UBfEc4I don't know him personally but as a professional he seemed like an okay dude. Really would like to see stuff like this reported with both sides.

#1 I doubt there isnt anyone associated with coaching or parenting children who isn't troubled by these allegations...on many levels.
#2 I would hope that everyone from the outside does not rush to judgement on EITHER side.
- who was never charged with a crime....
Mt. Lebanon police Lt. Duane Fisher confirmed Monday night that the police department investigated the allegations made by two girls against Mr. Xxxxx last fall and “did not find any action or information that indicated the presence of criminal activity.”
The lieutenant said police requested that the high school principal send letters to the families of girls on the volleyball team seeking information about any suspicious activity involving Mr. Xxxxx They did not receive any further complaints.
The district said that Mr. Xxxxx's federal and state criminal records showed “no violations of any kind” and that he was coaching in another district when Mt. Lebanon hired him.
The district also said that no players complained about Mr. Xxxxx during the season but raised their issues about him after it was over.

The title ix lawsuit is against the school district, which has legal responsibilities under title ix, and not against the coach.
If there is specific legal action against the coach I don't see any report of it. In this article we are told that the police found no evidence of criminal conduct. Has a civil action been filed against the coach? If so perhaps someone will share a link.

Interesting. I'll have to access the full filing to see what beyond the title ix accusation is in play.

Yeah, I don't have a PACER subscription, so I can't get the documents.

I spoke with a friend who specializes in civil litigation involving educational institutions. He said that the school district's potential liability here is clear. He further said that the two additional named defendants, including Coach Begor, are very likely not in danger of paying a civil judgment.
