It is strange that BYU serves (and generally plays) better on the road than at home given that they probably have the best fan support in the nation. Either way, their ability to dominate on the road makes for a scary proposition to whoever they play in the final.

DeFalco seems so detached from his teammates. I don't see detached. I see humble, and maybe subdued, but I see him talking to his teammates and giving them high fives. If he were detached, he wouldn't be doing that.

From the Stat line it virtually was. LBSU had 18 kills in set 2 to BYU's 8. I don't see how BYU can claim a virtual sweep, when the stats are heavily in favor of LBSU in set 2. Losing 21,19 and 18 by anyone standards and non competitive sets. I really really like the beach team but they were overmatched today. Don't worry, their time will come very quickly......for the next 3 years.

DeFalco seems so detached from his teammates. I don't like that comment. We all accept defeat in different ways. That kid is a player!

You might not like it, and this has nothing to do with how he handled the loss. Having seen him play live a couple times, and on TV many times, he seems detached from his teammates.

Congrats to BYU. Impressive season with 4 Sophomores on the floor. Congrats to CSULB. No question DeFalco is an AA. Beach started the year strong but just couldn't maintain that level of play to the end of the season. The freshmen will learn from this year and come back stronger as sophomores.

And BYU takes it in four. Hard to believe it wasn't a sweep. Sander played for Balboa Bay
