I have answered your question several times. I only have so much patience. One last time: She is NOT the best player in the U.S. You want a list? Start with the NT roster. It's okay to admit that I'm right, and it just goes to show you that Karch Kiraly doesn't know what he's doing if the best player in the U.S isn't on the roster.

Let's be real, every person knows that if the other olympic teams not named the United states could choose only one current pro player to play on their olympic team from the U.S it would be a healthy in shape, recoverd from pregnancy Destinee Hooker. But some of you don't want to admit it because you would basically be saying that Karch Kiraly got it wrong. Brazil, Russia, Korea, Puerto Rico, Cuba, etc would all choose Destinee Hooker to play on their olympic team if they could pick only one current pro player from the U.S to play for their olympic team and everyone on this board knows it.

Who's there?
Repeat myself until you no longer admit you're even inside the house listening to me repeat myself over and over and over again. Hello? Hello?

And that still doesn't take into account that Karch decided this already. She didn't fit in to the team. He's a crazy competitive person, so obviously this impasse or whatever had to have been a big issue. And since that time, what has happened? Good things. GREAT things. So how is he wrong?

swiss, I'm a neutral party to your current conversation with Doppelganger and others in this thread. After reading the conversation, I'm curious- why do you think Hooker is not on the team? Like a specific reason.

While Karch may make the final decision on who is part of the NT and Rio, I think there was some players who also had a hand in Hooker's departure. So really it is not just Karch.

People still don't seem to realize that the issue isn't Karch's decision to move forward without Hooker and Tom, but rather the way each situation was handled. Such blatant disrespect toward one of the legends of the sport. Such immaturity and discrimination toward one of the best athletes in the world, and (arguably) the face of USA Volleyball and most recognizable and famous US volleyball player. I think most of the rational posters here recognize that neither Hooker nor Tom deserve a spot on the roster, but they certainly deserve to be treated with more dignity and respect than they were. I just can't understand the unwillingness to repair these relationships.

I think Karch deserves another 4. I had doubts at first, but I think he has shown significant growth as a coach. In which areas?

I think there are a lot of people that would argue she is the most famous. Infamous, maybe.

We get it, you don't like Karch because Destinee is the greatest hitter since the caveman clubbed that brontosaurus over the head that was trampling on his families garden plot We get it, you don't like Destinee because Karch wore that pink hat and brought meaning to dreary summer Saturday afternoons when we could watch beach on NBC Whatever, if any of your opinions actually mattered, you would not be on volleytalk because you would actually be coaching the team or playing on itBest post on this thread so far. I fully agree.

Most would say Destinee Hooker. Therefore, I would say Hooker post-London is still the face of USA volleyball.

Getting a spot and playing for the WNT is not a popularity contest unforunately. Its what you can bring to the team that matters. The WNT honchos, together with Karch, has decided she is not suitable to be on the team right now. We can argue all day long about that, but that is the reality sadly.

I doubt this. I really do.
