In-house hire. Interesting. Checks most the of politically correct boxes.

In-house hire. Interesting. Checks most the of politically correct boxes. True, but she has legit experience, both playing and coaching.

So hoosierdraft you are saying she was hired only because she was a woman? Seems like a natural fit for the job, given her experience. It's a mid major school, a good starting spot for a first head coaching job. Were you expecting a "better" hire?

Let's not let Hoosierdraft create anything here. By all categories, this was a good hire. They didn't think the program was broke so they didn't need to "fix" it. From what I've heard, she is highly professional, well-respected, and clearly has a Ball State-worthy background and pedigree. Cool, let's move on.

One of the most accurate statements ever made on VT.

Six seasons with one regular season conference title in 2010, one NCAA invite in 2011, 5 of 6 years lost in the quarter finals of the MAC tournament. Clearly a mid major program that doesn't need fixed. Let's see which direction the program moves with this hire.

Kelli is a great choice.

Great hire. As a Ball State alum, I'm excited to see where she takes the program.

Just curious, but when was the last time Ball State had a women's head coach? I know before Shondell was Boos and before Boos was Randy Litchfield.

Before Randy, it was Jerre Mcmanama. Would have been a mango before Jerre. They had separate athletic departments. Somewhere around 1984.
