Gotta be healthy and hot. For sure we will podium. To win u need health and momentum For sure? We finished third in the World Cup, barely ahead of Russia. And that's without Brazil playing.

Don't feel as good about USA going into this Olympics as I did in 2012.

I've heard that the setting analytics for all USA setters favor Kreklow over anyone else. I don't know the exact stats, but it is something like highest hitting percentage off her sets. ...lol Do you have data that shows different?

This may seem a little off topic (didn't know if it was worth making a new thread about), but I was re-watching the NORCECA qualification matches back in January, and to me it seemed as if the US slowed down it's offense just a tad bit. I don't know if this was a concerted effort by the coaching staff, or if it was the angle from the camera, or maybe just a side effect from playing together in the middle of club season.
Thoughts, or it is just me?

I'm looking at the Grand Prix schedule. The travel is brutal.
6/10-12 in Ningbo, China - 20 hour flight over and back 6/17-19 in Long Beach 6/24-26 in Hong Kong - 19 hours over 10 days - I assume they stay abroad? 7/6-10 in Bangkok - 3 hours from Hong Kong by air 20+ hours home
By comparison China goes from Ningbo, to Macau, to Hong Kong. Piece of Cake.
They play August 5 in Rio, and every other day there after. I assume they wouldn't go down too early because of Zika, and to give them time to recover from the travel of the Grand Prix... I've never flown 85 hours in a month so I don't know how long it takes to recover, but I'd think they'd use as much of the 3 weeks as they can. Maybe they don't bring some of the A-list on the first trip? But if they do that they may not make it to Bangkok.

I think the goal is to win the gold, but I would imagine they will face a truly hostile environment if they play the home team, so it won't be easy.

How has the US historically handled the WGP in an Olympic year? Do they send the A team for practice and chemistry, or send the B team so the A team can rest? Or some combination? How do other countries handle it?

Do you have data that shows different? Whoosh. That's a mighty strong argument.

That's a mighty strong argument. Not an argument. It's the sound of my post whizzing over your head.

Harmotto started every leg of that tourney, I believe. Does anyone really think we're as strong now as we were four years ago?

Could be. Chemistry goes a long way.
But they were pretty damned good 4 years ago -- except for the last 3 games in one match.
