I have a feeling the Tokyo roster and alternate list is going to look very different than the Rio roster and alternate list.
Dietzen and Thompson will be gone. I suspect Foluke still wants to go to medical school. Hill, Robinson and Murphy ain't locks. Glass will be challenged, if she even wants to come back. Larson isn't getting younger. Dixon will figure into the mix if she's healthy.
The possibilities are endless.

I feel like Lowe could be an elite OPP I think if maybe she just got a little more fit. The next 4 years, I think she is more than capable at the position. What is she 22-23 we could have her back on the next Olympics and be fine, if Hooker isn't back. It is more about her reading the block. She hits low and meat of black too often.

Happy that this team was resilient enough to bounce back after a disappointing loss in the semis. Sometimes the best team goes home with the Bronze medal. Maybe a disappointing finish for them but still a lot for us as fans to be excited about in the years to come for Team USA with the talent available.

Only confirmed not back for the next go are Dietzen and Thompson. I know a lot of people were questioning bringing her but I think she feeds positive energy. A bench player who knows that the chances of her playing are slim to none but is the boost and positivity the team needs on the sideline. Let her be an example to any small setter who doesn't think she can't make the Olympic team. Dietzen is replaceable but has had a solid run for our team. Now to wonder if Foluke walks away from the game stay another four Foluke we need you. Also Larson, she is married and I am sure a family is on her mind.

Foluke seems totally fluid in her movements today. Who will unravel that mystery from two days ago? Um, she hurt her knee and it was better?!?!?! What mystery?

There is Sunderland admitting that Foluke was dying to get back into the match in the Semi-final. Karch let her play immediately after the injury. So why the decision to pull her? Why no decision to bring her back? Um, she was physically incapable of performing at the needed level?!?

Congratulations USA! Great effort! I read some of our comments. We should take a moment to celebrate these ladies and not be so quick to criticize. This win is not empty, it was full of heart and effort. These ladies worked hard. These are many good team around the world and on any day any of them can have a great match and win the Gold Medal!
Winning the bronze is not a consolation, it is a medal for being 3rd best at the Olympics out of all those talented teams. Let's try to keep some perspective here!
GO USA!

Larson is such a class act. She played her heart out. Blocked and dug some key balls, without which, Ned comes back.

Only a few teams in the world can say that they achieved 2 medals in 2 of the biggest volleyball tournaments out there in this quad- A bronze in the 2016 Olympics, a gold in 2014 World Championships.
But I agree with @reach, this team needs a drastic makeover. I still cringe every time I remember Mihajlovic and Boskovic bombing those balls inside the court and yet they come from a country with a population of only 7 million. I cringe every time I see other teams with players like KYK, Zhu Ting or Sloetjes.
Anyway, huge congratulations to Team USA. And shoutout to Foluke, Jordan Larson and Kayla Banwarth for playing well in this Olympics.

Larson is such a class act. Honest words would've been preferred, but aren't in line with the PROGRAM. USAV's like our economy, extend and pretend in perpetuity. Just shut up

Yes she is, and played like a leader today. I think she got a taste of what went through Logan Tom's mind last Olympics. I think Larson realized she could have done more to lead the team in the semi match. And that's why she was so different today. She was going after every ball, constantly clapping and talking to her teammates, being rock solid with her own performance.

Why no decision to bring her back? Um, she was physically incapable of performing at the needed level?!? She looked pretty good when she came back in for a few points in the semi's. Dancing around with CT in the corner, but not good enough for a quick sub in to see how she was in the 5th set? I guess KK didn't visualize Krob's brain freeze at the end and felt they would just breeze through.
