How is a player who barely played at LSU supposed to be a contributor at USC? Could easily say that about Lauryn Gillis "How is a player that barely played at USC supposed to be a contributor at Wisconsin?" Some players just do not fit in at a place and either it affects their game or there is somebody ahead of them for whatever reason She is already in Europe with the team and seems to be having a good time. She played already in a match against one of the Scandinavian teams. Also, didn't she go to HS with Reni? It may make her more comfortable to have a long-time teammate by her side.

Then, transferred to a team that plays at a similar level. Welsh was not a top-100 recruit. Spent 2 years on LSU's bench. Then, transferred to a much higher level program. So, not even close to being a comparable comparison.

Oof, in conference transfer hurts. Tiffany is a great player and we wish her well.

Katie Nicholson -- middle blocker -- is no longer listed on Mississippi State's roster, leaving them with 5 players on the roster as of right now. Is she transferring, or just leaving the team? Mississippi State's recruiting class isn't that big this season. They need transfers badly!!!

Mississippi State's recruiting class isn't that big this season. They need transfers badly!!! Well, they currently have 7 incoming players listed on Rich Kern's site, several of whom have been added this spring, including the transfer setter (Kath) from Stony Brook. Of course, one of the 7 (Maddox) enrolled early and is already listed on the roster. So that's 6 additional bodies. Also, 3 of the 7 are DS's, and none is an OH. There is only one OH listed on MSU's 5-person roster, so MSU's lineup could be pretty interesting this coming year unless they continue to add players. Currently on roster: 1 OH, 1 MB, 1 "OPP/MB" (Vujcin, who is clearly better suited to the OPP spot), 1 RS, and 1 DS/L. Only Vujcin and the DS/L (Harris) have any previous meaningful playing time. Incoming recruits: 1 MB, 1 OPP (Maddox, though RK lists her as an MB), 2 setters (transfer and international recruit), and 3 DS.

I think they have a player share agreement with UGA! Okay, I admit it. I laughed.

This is a little bit of a shock but they do have an All-ACC OH, an OH hitter returning from injury, a RS Fresh 6'6" OH and possibly the most underrated 2017 OH in the country coming in. A true 6 rotation player that leads a Top 10 Club team. Maybe all those had something to do with it but she was a starter last year!

Sister of the now famous Isabelle Haak. Maybe she missed the cold weather.

Does anyone know what happened with Toni Mcdougald from Texas Tech? She's no longer on the roster.

Per her Instagram, it appears that Kimmy Gardiner (Oklahoma) is going to use her 5th year of volleyball, and join the University of Washington Beach Program.

Looks Like LMU beach volleyball got some good 5th years too. Mayer has signed Cierra Simpson, Chloe Reinig, McKayla Ferris and Morgan Bogust to letters of intent to play at LMU. Simpson, Reinig and Ferris are all fifth-year transfers who will play one season with the Lions after exhausting their indoor eligibility at other institutions. www.lmulions.com/sports/w-svolley/spec-rel/053017aaa.html
