Time for a Fargo clip. In this key scene, luck (or bad luck) brings people together (not unlike NCAA match-ups). Things go smoothly if all behave but when you combine a guy (Steve Buscemi) who makes a boneheaded miscalculated decision with a wild card psycho (Peter Stormare) plus whimpering female hostage in the backseat, well, things will quickly go from bad to worse.
These are people who entered Minnesota to do a job, but can't seem to leave without someone getting hurt.

Hawai'i needed that victory over USC last night. Obviously to move on in the tourney but for its psyche moving forward. I think there was a lot of pressure put on them to beat USC. I believe a loss would have justified the Committee's Mineappolis subregional bracket and added credibility to some of the selection and bracket arguments made against Hawai'i. USC may have been the 8th place team in the PAC 12 but it's still a storied program lead by a legendary coach with a very talented roster. I'm sure Hawai'i feels fortunate to have survived but they did and it'll make for a much more relaxed, more determined Hawai'i team tonight. When it comes down to it, Minnesota has much more to lose than Hawai'i. Both teams have title aspirations and neither team wants to lose but outside of Hawai'i, people expect Minnesota to move on. The Wahine know that so they can just focus on volleyball and executing their gameplan. I thought they were tight last night and it came across in their play. I don't expect that to be the case at all vs Minnesota. The Gophers are also going to focus on volleyball and their gameplan but if Hawai'i pushes them, I can see the weight of expectations for the tournament start to creep in, and that is an opening that Hawai'i can certainly exploit. There's much more on the line when a loss ends your season.

I'm certain a lot of fans -- in this bracket and frankly, all of them -- are hoping that Hawaii knocks off Minny because Minnesota just looked unbeatable after last week's performance. Let's all cheer for the underdog on this one. Go Bows!

Ahem. Hawaii is not an underdog, underrated perhaps, but not an underdog. It's about time a new team wins the title. Let's all root for that:)

And Minnesota hardly looked unbeatable. They went 5 in each of their last 4 matches. At home.
Still, UH is the underdog in this match, by any definition of underdog. It's just that it's wrong to say Minnesota is heavily favored. They are not. Two top 10 teams here. 2nd round.
Who's PSU playing again? Oh, right.

Minnesota is favored. But not heavily so. Should be a good match.

Sure wish I'd been hanging out on a curb in Minneapolis the last several weeks. A great volleyball parade has been passing through town.

Minnesota is a 74% favorite according to PABLO, which feels about right. They need to bring their A game, which we saw for one set last night.
Hoping Hawaii is a little tired from their travelling and tough match yesterday afternoon. I really don't think the Gophers feel much pressure and have shown they can respond to it, when down, they just take matches one point at a time.

If anyone is still trying to get tickets, Gophers just tweeted that "a limited number" have just been released.

Hawaii can challenge if they serve and block very well. Those seem to be the two factors that give MN the most trouble. Hawaii can do it. But I don't think they will.
