Horizon Zero Dawn
Still dawdling around. Didn’t realize it was available, but I bought a map with all the bluegleam locations. Got ‘em all, bought some unique armor using the newfound bluegleam. Also picked up all the pigments and animal figures in the Frozen Wilde using their maps.

Also picked up all the pigments and animal figures in the Frozen Wilde using their maps. I remember that armor. I only used it in one playthrough because I thought I needed it. Turns out, I didn't. It's a powerful armor because it regenerates itself and in the main game, you're almost indestructible. But it has one drawback: it's weak against those control tower pulses in the Frozen Wilds. Those pulses deplete your armor real fast and then you're out there naked. But in the main game, you're superman (or super-woman in the case of Aloy). After that playthrough, I didn't get the armor again and I did fine.

I live in an alternate reality where this is a real thing and I play it every day.

Only ones that could be purchased up in the Frozen Wildes. May give up on that armour, though. Sounds good, but I have no idea how to find those power nodes unless I look it up on the Internet...want to kind of do this au naturale the first time through.

More Mad Max mayhem!
Have I mentioned that this is a really good game? It really is.
Not as good as Dying Light or Horizon Zero Dawn but still really good and with a different "feel."

Mad Max
The game has a series of vehicle race games called Death Run. They are scattered throughout the map. When you go to a Death Run official, a menu comes up so you can select which race you want to participate in. If you decide not to race, you press "cancel." After you press "cancel," Max will say, "I don't have time for this shiite," which is exactly how I feel about race games when I'm "in character" and have half a dozen important missions to accomplish.

the more i play nioh, the more i learn about different skills and customizing those skills. and i don't think i care. the amount of time i might spend carefully crafting my lay-out is not worth it.
all i want to do is take my ninja swords and go bop demon things.

I just watched the whole thing. Very cool gameplay! Lots of new parkour moves. I'm really looking forward to it.
