Yes, but she certainly won't be taking as large a load as she did at Marquette, where she was given 800+ more attempts than the next highest attacker. Bond runs a remarkably steady offense looking more like: OH1: 25% OH2: 25% RS: 16.67% MB1: 16.67% MB2: 16:67% I'm sure with a pin as lethal as Louis those numbers will skew slightly more in her favor but Orr is also a true gunslinger. I expect to see a lot of gutsy sets to the middles and rightside. Keala's offense management last season was incredible, we'll see this season how much of that influence came directly from the bench. That's not really iowa's set distribution is it? If you take our six main starting attackers (Brobst was pulled every once and a while for Reuter), totaled their attack attempts together (3,258 attempts), and calculated their percentage set its pretty damn close: 24.74% OH Buzzerio 27.10% OH Brobst/Reuter 16.33% MB Janota 15.81% MB Mariani 16.02% RS Coyle

Wait... are we sure Taylor Louis got a release from Marquette? It is interesting that there hasn't been an "official" announcement yet but she is listed on the roster. My theory: I think now that things have been narrowed down to the final 16 on the 2017 team, we would see an announcement coming out including Louis and transfer Ashley Smith, too. At least i sure hope so!! Hmmm...

And, no, I do not know what kind of student she is. I am not implying anything about her academic record. Iowa/Bond Shymansky is lucky to get her. Saw her play in the post season. She's awesome!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Taylor! You look darn good in black & gold!!

Maybe they will red-shirt her this year. Build a better team for 2018 and 2019? Long shot, but just a thought.

I'm guessing Taylor Louis has her release. It wouldn't be the worst thing to happen... but it would feel pretty devastating if Louis didn't have a release. And it would reaffirm my already extremely negative opinion of the Marquette coaching staff.

Annual Black-Gold scrimmage set for next Saturday at 2pm in Carver! Free admission and for those who won't be attending live updates on Twitter at @iowavolleyball hawkeyesports.com/news/2017/8/9/hawkeye-volleyball-announces-black-and-gold-scrimmage.aspxThe article says we have nine returning letter winners and eight newcomers (17 total) but I only count 16 on the roster and I think the math is off somewhere... Returners: Olsen, Janota, Reuter, Alm, Coyle, Kelly, Buzzerio, Hoye, Bushman Newcomers: O'Neill, Louis, Smith, Orr, Sheehan, Johnston, Franck Perhaps they were still counting Revell?

Looks like Iowa is becoming the go to place for Northern Lights VBC players to play at the next level. I'm excited to see how these players grow within this program and how they are able to contribute.

My guess is they were counting Madi Dahl, DS 2017 recruit who appears to have been a late drop and not joined the team.
