The only good to come out of it is UCLA might not run a 6-2 although they still could do that. The last team to win the NC with a 6-2 offence is 2003!!! Sometimes less is indeed more. If Hodson is available last year, the team might not ditch the 6-2 offense and they will probably not win the NC. Don't get me wrong, I am very sad TVW transferred but UCLA will go thru growing pains and they will be fine. The biggest wild card is Miller's setting. She was very underwhelming last year and she was ranked ahead of Gray It's clearly there setters are total feast or famine under Sealy... and the "feasts" don't necessarily align to what he recruits for.

Cal Poly was pretty competitive in beach in 2017 - surprisingly so, IMO. They don't lose much to graduation, and add TVW. I can see them maybe squeezing into the final eight...but I wouldn't put any money on it. On the other hand, UCLA with TVW would be the favorite to win the NC. Without TVW, the Bruins are still going to be a top 2-3 team, and definitely in the hunt for the NC. For next year? Relying on new middles, a new libero, and frosh OH's..... ummmm ok

BTW, why haven't they split up the McNamaras yet? They'll need a big at the next level anyways, and could make UCLA better at both #1 and #2

Last season would've been the season to test them out with taller partners. I'm not sure UCLA will have much height next season. UCLA's 4 best players will be under 5'10".

Any Bruin fans out there know if they're going to have an Alumni game before the 2017 season starts?

UCLA's indoor team will obviously have growing pains this season. However, in terms of having both top notch indoor AND beach programs, UCLA is one of the Few options save this prediction: Poly will be a top 15 indoor team and top 8 beach team next year crazy talk

I agree, but I just don't think UCLA has any good talls to pair them with. With two years left, I think we'll see them at #1 until they graduate.
