Last night, I had a dream that I was back in college and was taking five classes. Finals were a week away and I had no frikkin' clue about the subject matter on any of my classes. I'm not sure if I went to classes or not during the semester but the prospect of trying to learn everything in 5 classes in a week was scaring the crap out of me. I just couldn't understand how I let this happen to me. I've had variations of this dream in the past. It sounds like a manifestation of performance anxiety. I'll let you take it from there. Possibly deep insecurities? ...Nah...

Volleytalk has really had a detrimental effect on you. It is a shame that CaptainVEX, ladeada and goGopherBill no longer post here, I would find their views on your dreams fascinating. Which one of those got kicked out which one just gave up? I forget.

For years after I got my job, I would get nightmares about missing finals for classes I never took, and me running the hallways looking for the right classroom. The worst one is me getting a knock on the door and someone saying: Georgia Tech as changed their minds, we want your degree back. I hadn't that dream fro years and then it came back last week, the missing a final dream. Right before club tryouts. I need to drink more.

Yep, a recurring nightmare/dream for me are school-related, most of them final exams I've not prepared for. In the dream, I always have thoughts of: how did I let this happen? I never ever have work-related dreams unless it's sexual in nature. I hardly ever dream about family. It's always school and exams.

I have this dream where I'm in a room with all my ancestors and they take turns telling me how disappointed they are in me. Then they tell me to go into the next room, which is full of all my ex-girlfriends telling me how unsatisfying life with me was, but boy are they happy now! Then they have me go to one last room where Hugh McCutcheon tells me I don't know squat about volleyball.
There are charts.
What does it mean, doc?

Wifey said she had a weird dream last night. We both broke into someone's home, which is a faux pas in itself. One thing to dream that you break into someone's home, but to drag a law abiding loving husband such as myself into a life of dream crime is unacceptable. I told her how I felt. Then she said in her dream I washed their dishes after breaking in. Huh...

I don't do anything adventurous in my dreams. I feel like I'm always a victim or subject. Something terrible always happens TO me, as opposed to me doing something terrible to others.

My school dream/nightmare is a little different. I find out halfway through the semester that I am enrolled in a class that I didn't know about and have never attended. It's too late to drop the class and I'm in a panic.

It's too late to drop the class and I'm in a panic. I have these, too. I'm always wondering, in the dream, How the hell did I get myself into this position?

It's too late to drop the class and I'm in a panic. Me too! And there is a mid-term coming up and I didn't read one page from the text that I didn't buy because I didn't know I was enrolled in the class.

I had a dream this afternoon about the game Horizon Zero Dawn. In the dream, I was trying to decide when to start the Frozen Wilds DLC. Courtney Thompson was trying to help me but she just threw up her hands in frustration.
