Definitely! Vigrass? That guy is going to carry that position like a champ. Graham is an absolute stud. I was ready to go on about how underrated he is, but hopefully after winning best MB in the finals he'll start getting some respect internationally

When I brought up the issue of Szerszen and Dobbert being americans I was just being sarcastic about it. I don't think team USA needs any foreigner in it. I would feel very bothered seeing Szerszen or anybody else playing on the team. I never took kindly to the idea of having Suxho playing on the national team, for example. Oh, and folks! you should really stop bringing up the return of Anderson, Holt and Russell as if this was an assurance of any success because we all know it's not.

Urgently. Issues: 1-despite great potential, Patch was a huge disappointment, very poor serves and hits. 2-Mututaguia and especially Clark has no level to be in a top national team. 3-In the middle Smith did a very good job, but Holt has no one to replace him, in blocks and serves. 4-we had a super Sander, otherwise we wouldn't have reach the finals All in all, without these 3, Anderson, Russell and Holt, USA becomes a 2nd level team.

Is Carson Clark ever going to get better? I mean the excuse for other guys is they're new but Carson's been around for a long time. Every time he comes on, he makes zero difference Zero difference? Huh? Please go back and watch the 4th. set again . I just watched it again .. and you know ,If Clark was a 8 foot tall Orangutan, then he might be able to do some damage with some of those terrible sets... Then factor in the low percentage of balls even set to him.... He did make a difference " MVP" against Poland to get Team USA to the Final 6. My reply to "Is Carson Clark ever going to get better?" So after 2 years off to repair his back , and now starting to play at this level .... and with more good sets, my answer would be yes! GO TEAM USA!!!!!!

Judges were distracted by beautiful polish girls. Even Clark showed surprise.

Carson Clark is a great volleyball player and I agree he did have some questionable sets but in my opinion I'm not sure if he can bounce back after that back injury and for this level he's not a terminal opposite hitter. I'm glad he could contribute and help the team and I really hope he can improve but in my personal opinion he will not be on the travel roster once Matt returns. Ben is younger and has far more upside. Instead of bad mouthing people like keyboard warriors on here I would try to support all those guys on the USA squad, the higher the level of every player in the program only pushes us as an international volleyball power!

We need some young middles to develop..and, while it can be painful to watch, year one of a quad is the right time to see it...

Speraw had the great merit bringing young players to the squad, since 2013. Yes, Jendryk showed promise, and he must go on. But this team need experience and quality. Nowadays, a volleyball player can play at high level until 33-35. See Lee's example.Holt and Smith can and should reach Tokyo.

Last summer Brazil and Portugal played a Friendly Game to celebrate their Gold Medal win and a goodbye to Serginho, the game was played at the Arena of the Baixada ( same arena they just played the World League).
This is a completely different set-up of the stadium for that game, it truly feels like playing in a stadium. Just in case you guys wanna check it out here`s the video.

While it would have been nice to grab a medal, this World League was a success in many ways for Team USA:
-Patch proved he can be a very good opposite at this level. His defense and consistency need work, but for him to play how he did coming off an injury plagued season at BYU provides hope for the future. He ended up 5th in kills and 7th in points scored.
-Jendryk showed very well in his first performance at this level. McDonnell also did some good things. With Lee and Holmes leaving the national team, finding depth in the middle was key, and that definitely happened.
-Jaeschke returning for the final round provided a huge boost. Having two players who can start at either OH or OPP in him and Anderson allows for a number of different roster combinations. Taylor Sander proved he can carry the team at this level as well. Team USA has enviable depth on the pins, and most of that talent is young with a ton of upside.
-Despite running a very young team, and getting almost nothing from the OH2 spot until the finals, the US was in the Final 4.
The competition in the gym looks fierce over the next couple of years, and that's something that could not be said as recently as 2013 when Christenson had to be brought up from the junior national team to save the mess that was the setting situation. There have been a lot of young players who have made a difference since then, and the depth is getting better and better.

This is the dumbest and worst . The first row is like being in the nose bleed section of a regular venue . I would hate to be a ball shagger.
