Hawai'i starts the season with 13 straight home games, including 3 tournaments. I'm sure we'll witness the usual complaining about Hawaii not playing more road matches but it doesn't matter. I'm sure Hawai'i fans are ecstatic to watch their team play so many games at home. In addition, the teams that fly to Honolulu will get to have a mini vacation and enjoy a world-class tourist destination (homeless problem and all). Marquette, San Diego, and UCLA to start the season at the SSC. It's going to be a fun ride. Btw, Cal Poly stinks. That whole program needs a shower. I been to the Hawaiian Islands four times in my life. First time when I was 25, last time I was 57. Sorry, but, each time it was more and more congested with traffic, humidity that seemed to top 120%. It's fun for young people and kids, I suppose. I'll stay with the cool days/nites on California's central coast...and San Luis Obispo. You can keep Honolulu. BTW, the stinkers from CAL POLY are going to be sending the wahines home...wahining.

Love you Jake. As a Hawaii fan, I'm really excited for Poly, the Beach, UC Irvine, and UCSB this season. All I want is the BW to represent well, and win against good teams. This is Poly's chance to capitalized on the talent they have and make a great showing.

And I know when BWC teams fly out to play in the SSC it must be a thrill for the players. Let's make 2017 OOC play the best.

Long Beach St. will be a contender this season. They return arguably the best middle blocker duo in the conference in Ashley Murray and YiZhi Xue. Also returning are All BWC Freshman Team libero Hailey Harvard and six rotation player Anete Brinke. A late transfer of All Mountain West Conference setter Alexis Patterson--from UNLV-- has solved the biggest question mark in the 49er line up. Patterson will have a multitude of of potential hitters to choose from including USF transfer Kristyna Adamcikova, as well as returning hitters Megan Kruidhoff and Ashley Anselmo. Another quality transfer, who could start on the right ride, is 6'4 Utah transfer Emma Kirst. First year coach McKienzie Fuerbringer inherits a deep, and talented, roster out of the gate.

Whatever you remember about Honolulu-it's probably gotten worse. I wish the tourists would go to Avila Beach instead.

Avila actually doesn't need more touristas, it's now a big parking lot in the summer

Plus down the road at Port San Luis, good luck trying to find a parking spot on the weekend. And if you have a boat to launch and then park your truck and trailer.... oh man. Nightmare!

But no... just no. While we don't get that at Avila or Pismo, they get heavily impacted based on the size of the area. But that picture is just crazy.

When POLY meets the Wahines (so love that word) it will be a battle!

The big question for LBSU this year, like most years, is the production on the left and will one of the lefts turn out to be a go to hitter. Everywhere else will be really solid.

Hailey Harwood is the best libero in southern CA college, maybe all of CA, yes, on the same level as Hentz.... and she can sing!! Did she split time at DS and L last year? Otherwise, Hentz averaged 50% more dps last season. And her name is Harward, not Harvard or Harwood. Lol
