There are a few basketball fans on here. What do you think about Kyrie demanding a trade. I think Bron is gone next year regardless. The Cav's owner is a dips--t.

Things must be awful in that organization.
Last season Kyrie averaged 35 MPG, 25 PPG, shot 47% FG, 40% from 3, on almost 20 shots/gm, 90% from FT, 3 REB, 6 AST, most of which were or close to career highs. And he gets to play with the best player in the world, and outscore him in many games. He, not LeBron, hit the huge three in game seven in 2016 to break the tie with under a minute left.
What more could he be going for? If LeBron leaves, he'll easily be the man. No situation he could go to now would put him closer to the Finals or a(nother) championship. He wants out of a team that has been to three straight Finals and won one. Everything about this is odd.

Kyrie claims he wants to be the focal point, yet he led the Cav's in both shots taken and usage rate. I think he just does not want to be stuck in Cleveland without a contending team, if James leaves.

Well, he knows the Cavs didn't do enough to give themselves any better chance to win a title next season, and LeBron and any chance of a championship will be gone after that anyways. So if he doesn't think he's going to contend for a title again, then you move on to questions like - Does he like playing with LeBron? Does he want to spend his youth living in Ohio?

Also remember LeBron got the coach fired midseason and handpicked a replacement with no head coaching experience. Kyrie was one of the players who wanted to keep Blatt.

This is very odd to me. He's the only player in the league that doesn't want to play with LeBron. "Side effects of James' greatness". How comical is that? My teammate is too good, I can't play with him!
With that mentality, the Spurs would be an awful fit. So would Minnesota because Wiggins shoots more than anyone other than Westbrook. I'd like to see him go to Miami. He'd still be in LeBron's shadow. Also, I hope he leaves and never has a winning season anywhere. He can thank LeBron for his one ring.

Kyrie wants to go to a team where he can be The Man...then lists two, maybe three teams where he would definitely not be The Man: Spurs (Kawhi) and T-Wolves (Jimmy Butler and KAT). And he Knicks want to build around Porzingis. So, Miami? Might be a good fit. The Heat could offer Dragic (underrated PG) and someone like Justise Winslow. OTOH, it would reunite Irving and Dion Waiters, who hate each other. Good times. I do wonder how much interest Kyrie will draw. He basically has one skill - albeit a big one - in that with the ball in his hands he's damn near unguardable. But he plays no D, can't pass to save his life, and turns the ball over. Which are things you really don't want to see from your point guard.

Geddy and Villageidiot both showing you know bball. Kyrie thinks he is a franchise player, but he is not. Cleveland was atrocious in the few minutes that James sat down, and Kyrie was asked to run the team. He benefitted from constant double teams and defensive help leaning to James. Plus as mentioned his defence is ugly. James will probably still win the East without him.

Minnesota has been building for 5-6 years now -- their latest rebuild anyhow. I do not know why they have all the sudden decided on a 2-year plan. Wiggins for Irving? I wouldn't put it past them. It may be the worst pro sports franchise there is.

Time to update this thread. Cleveland just signed Derrick Rose for 1 year at $5 bucks and hour. Is Cleveland better with Bron, Rose, Love and Anthony, or whatever they get for Kyrie? I say yes.

It may be the worst pro sports franchise there is. While it's probably been frustrating to be a T-Wolves fan for some time now, I do like where they're going. They should be arrested for the theft of Jimmy Butler, an all-star in his prime. A starting lineup of Teague, Butler, Wiggins, Dieng, and KAT is really intriguing. I'm not a big fan of the head coach - he plays the starters way too many minutes - but while Minnesota isn't going to beat the Warriors, they look good for next season.

One rumor that is intriguing to me - and rumors are flying everywhere right now, so who knows if there's anything to it - is Kyrie for DeMarcus Cousins (plus a couple of throw-ins on both sides for salary cap purposes). Kyrie would have the perfect pick and roll partner in Anthony Davis, and Cleveland would have an immensely talented (and immensely erratic) big man.

Despite not being a Cousins fan, I really like this trade for both sides. Mainly NO, as Kyrie and Davis would be awesome.
