He is a strong player. With him committed a few more pieces in this class will begin to fall into place.

www.hawaiiathletics.com/news/2017/12/4/mens-volleyball-inks-three-for-2019.aspxI do not own the rights to this link Men's Volleyball 12.15.2017 Men’s Volleyball Inks Three For 2019 Story Links HONOLULU – University of Hawai'i men's volleyball head coach Charlie Wade announced the signing of Cole Hogland, Devon Johnson, and Filip Humler for the 2019 season. Highly regarded as one of the best players in the state of Hawai'i, the 6-foot-5 Hogland is a two-sport standout at 'Iolani School while also starring for Outrigger Volleyball Club. He led the Raiders to a semifinal appearance in the HHSAA Division I tournament last year and was named to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser's Fab 15. Hogland also helped Outrigger to a national championship last summer at Junior Nationals. "Cole is a dynamic athlete we are excited to get in our practice gym," Wade said. "His athleticism will allow him the potential to play just about any position on the floor. He will continue our trend of each year having some of the best players in Hawai'i stay home and play for us. It will be fun to watch his development as he represents Hawai'i." Johnson, a 6-foot-7 outside hitter is a member of the Westlake Village High School team and the Bones Volleyball Club. Last summer, he was a member of the gold medal-winning team representing the region of Southern California at the USAV High Performance Championship. Johnson, who also plays beach volleyball, comes from an athletic family as his oldest sister played volleyball at UC Davis. "Devon is a good player who fits in well with our program," Wade said. "He is serious about doing the work required to elevate his game to the next level." This summer, Humler, a 6-foot-7 outside hitter, helped the Czech Republic to a seventh place finish at the 2017 Youth World Championship and a European Championship. His VK Jihostroj Ceske Budejovice club team also captured the Czech National Championships in 2017. "Filip is a physically mature athlete, who will compete for playing time right away," Wade said. "He has represented his home country of the Czech Republic and is comfortable playing at a high level. He is looking to continue to improve his overall game and a get a degree from an Internationally respected University." In addition to Hogland, UH has secured verbal commitments from two additional local players for the 2018 season, continuing in Wade's priority to recruit the state of Hawai'i. #HawaiiMVB Filip humler

Many players will change positions when they get to college. I am sure that UCLA has plans for all of these players.
